8/8 The highly secretive unit was exposed because a fired Russian operative literally sued his commander for wrongful dismissal in a public court, and won. You cannot make this up. Russian intelligence is a corrupt and incompetent joke

6/8 Since Google servers are in the US, the FBI easily got a warrant and read the entire plot in real time. They essentially had a fully transcribed wiretap of Russia's most secretive new intelligence unit handed right to them

1/8 Russian intelligence always finds a way to completely screw up. They recently tried to build an untraceable new hit squad, but got caught because their top operatives literally typed their secret assassination plans into Google Translate

Putin's main propagandist complains that the US attack on Iran isn't fair because Trump didn't ask Congress and that it is a "very unpleasant situation for Russia" and that "it would be very difficult for Russia to enter into this conflict" due to the "ongoing special military operation in Ukraine".

Another Putin-style betrayal! Last year — more precisely, on January 17, 2025 — Russia signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement with Iran, in which Articles 4–6 on military and military-technical cooperation play an important role. When Trump began military actions against Venezuela, journalists asked why Russia did not assist Venezuela. Both Lavrov and Peskov responded in unison that, in the signed agreement, Caracas had declined to include provisions on military and military-technical cooperation. However, the agreement with Iran does contain such provisions, and Russia has been providing military assistance to Iran — just as Iran has been assisting Russia in its “special military operation.” Yet today, following the start of a military operation against Iran, Russia has refused to provide military assistance to Tehran. Just as last summer during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran, Russian officials are now claiming that Articles 4–6 on military and military-technical cooperation do not imply the provision of military aid. Wonderful — then what exactly do they imply? Delegation exchanges with sightseeing tours of military glory museums and attendance at parades on Red Square? Russia has once again demonstrated that previously signed international agreements are nothing more than scraps of paper not worth paying attention to. That was the case with Armenia during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the same happened with Venezuela, and now the same is happening with Iran.

At least 16,500 protesters have been killed in Iran and more than 330,000 injured, The Sunday Times reports, citing a report by a network of Iranian doctors, human rights data, and eyewitness accounts. According to the report, which is based on statistics from eight major ophthalmology hospitals and 16 emergency departments, the death toll ranges from 16,500 to 18,000 people. The number of those injured is estimated at between 330,000 and 360,000. Most of the victims are thought to have been younger than 30. Most casualties were recorded over two days of the most intense massacre carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Basij militia. Professor Amir Parasta, an Iranian-German eye surgeon and medical director of Munich MED, who coordinated the data collection, emphasized a shift in the authorities’ tactics. During the 2022 protests, security forces mainly used rubber bullets and shotguns; now, military-grade weapons are being deployed against crowds. Doctors are documenting gunshot and shrapnel wounds to the head, neck, and chest caused by Kalashnikov assault rifles and machine guns mounted on pickup trucks. The report pays special attention to the number of eye injuries. Between 700 and 1,000 protesters have lost one eye. One eye hospital in Tehran alone, Noor Clinic, has documented 7,000 eye injuries. Witnesses say that in just one night in the capital, more than 800 eye-removal surgeries were performed. Medical staff are forced to decide whom to save first amid a catastrophic shortage of donor blood. Reports say that in some cases security forces have prohibited blood transfusions for the injured and have dragged patients directly out of operating rooms. Reportedly, activists have managed to bring approximately 50,000-60,000 Starlink terminals into the country, but using them carries a deadly risk: security forces are conducting raids to detect satellite antennas. Today, January 13, 2026, is day 17 of the protests in Iran. The situation has escalated into total confrontation and information war. The regime is even shutting down Starlink - which means they must be using new electronic warfare (which could have been received from Russia or China). BBC’s Iranian service reports, citing data from NetBlocks, a global internet monitoring organization, that internet access in Iran has been blocked for more than 108 hours. This is the regime's attempt to create an information vacuum to push down the protests. These actions have led to an almost complete halt in the operations of banks and serious issues with logistics. According to reports, Iran's authorities have resumed access to phone networks today, and access to the Internet might start resuming within 48 hours. Islamic elites are now making their choice: someone is taking their families abroad, some decide to stay with the regime till the end. This is also a sign that there won't be a "soft scenario" of the transit of power. Radicalization is growing on both sides. The authorities are using firearms, killing, maiming, arresting and publicly executing protesters. In response, mosques and government buildings are set on fire. Protests do not stop. Everyone is waiting for actions by the United States. Despite all the challenges in Ukraine, we keep up with the events in Iran. My solidarity is with the brave and courageous people fighting for their freedom in Iran.
