@Cooper_S18 @kirawontmiss I've been stuck in one before in an old apartment building. The elevator proceeded to drop three floors. You can get seriously injured when elevators malfunction and a stuck elevator is a sign that something's broken 😅

This is how bad the job market is “I just got denied a job from Target. I have a f*cking bachelor's degree. I spent 4 years on a bachelor's degree, and — I can't get a cashier's job. I cannot get a minimum wage job” This is not uncommon. On average in 2026, Americans must apply for over 100 jobs before being hired In tough fields that number climbs to 100-200+ on average She says she was interested in getting a Masters but if she cent even get a cashiers job with a bachelors degree, what’s the point

Any serious person would know that an association does not come anywhere near to causation. Ever. What are all those people - all cause dead, obese, CVD, cancer - eating? Don’t you think that might be quite the confounding variable? Learn how to read statistics. Are you still guzzling honey? It’s affecting your cognitive ability.

@DorokhinMichael @lb_412 @financedystop I think it depends on what kind of plan you have? I have a $2500 deductible but I've barely paid any into it and my insurance has been covering all my costs except the $30 copays.

Really, what kind of America did you come from? Many Americans who have insurance pay much more for MRI as their deductibles are like $4,000-$12,000 a year. I had monthly premium $1,800 (family of 2) and paid MRI close to $1,500 -> $1,800*12=$21,600 + $1,500 (MRI)=$23,100. Thank you for f*g obama care.

I was having one of the worst endometriosis flare-ups before I was diagnosed, and I was barely holding it together in the ER. I was told I'm just faking it to get drugs. I said if you think that then don't give me anything for the pain and just do the tests I need. They watched me in agonizing pain for hours without giving me anything to ease my suffering. My mom was also there confirming I've never had a drug problem! It didn't matter.

@Simon_Ingari Dude, I can understand someone wanting to troll but don't take it out on the manager. A lot of RTO is forced by the company not individual management. Your manager tells you the requirements so you don't get fired. If you have a problem, take it up with corporate thru HR.

A few days ago, my boss called to say I must now work full-time from the office, despite being hired remotely. I said I had no car and the office is 2 hours from home. His reply: “Your personal commute is not my problem!” I didn’t argue. The next morning, I arrived at the office at exactly 8:00 a.m., just as ordered. My commute had taken three transfers and more than 2 hours, but I made sure to step through the door right on time—dragging a small rolling suitcase behind me. My boss froze the moment he saw it. He smirked and asked if I had mistaken the office for the airport. What he didn’t know was that inside the suitcase I had secretly put a blanket, a pillow, a kettle, and three days’ worth of snacks. I smiled sweetly and replied, “Since I don’t have a car and the commute eats up 4 hours a day, I thought it would be best if I just lived here during the week.” Then I set about unpacking. A pillow on my desk chair. A blanket draped neatly over the back. Oatmeal packets stacked in the break room. Before long, I was boiling water with my travel kettle and offering tea to my bewildered coworkers.↓

An American mom can’t afford groceries — so she sells her kids’ playhouse for $100. That $100 gets her 8 items. A childhood toy traded… just to cover basic necessities. This isn’t just inflation — it’s families being priced out of basic life.

@mewwesty @ThrillaRilla369 Exactly, and statistically speaking, men die earlier than women. So if the sole breadwinner passes away, it's going to be the wife, who will also have a hard time due to her gap years. Lots of Japanese families follow this model. It hasn't exactly worked out great for most women.

@ThrillaRilla369 I could do that for ten years because my spouse made enough money. Most families don’t have that luxury. I also believe that it can put too much pressure on the bread winning spouse and devalues the work of child rearing. It’s not always “cozy” and is actually a lot of work.
