Now that you can bank usage resets in Codex. Are you a hoarder or do you use them without breaking a sweat? How do you think about them?

@jackfriks Yeah, same. I just self host things now that I once thought were too complex to maintain. Letting AI stand up the infra in code + verify via clis. You should look into pulumi, game changer for me.

now that AI is really good i feel its become silly not to use the complex solutions that are 100x cheaper in terms of infrastructure for software. example: i avoided using cloudflare r2 before cause the docs for my other provider were easier to follow and implement... now i just tell AI: use this and make it work, it does it.

@steipete The clawpatch map didn’t work for my monorepo for some reason. Will try to fix. Also working on mapping large code bases in a more sophisticated way.

@levelsio @X I don’t like it, cuts out so many people and kills discussions outside your circle. Think of nonames with 0 followers like me who just wants to reply to sth interesting once a month

I love @X's new feature to only allow "accounts you follow and who they follow" because it just cuts AI bot replies down to zero Problem is it doesn't always work for everyone it seems, this guy for example is followed by people I follow but still can't reply

has anyone built "the software factory" thing, misc requirements: - able to use my subscriptions (codex / claude) - stacked diffs w/ graphite - able to go from planning -> lots of small tasks - closing the review loop don't love current agent interfaces, want something new

@ClaudeDevs How about a refund? Damage is done, and the limit reset doesn’t reset the last 50 days.

Over the past month, some of you reported Claude Code's quality had slipped. We investigated, and published a post-mortem on the three issues we found. All are fixed in v2.1.116+ and we’ve reset usage limits for all subscribers.

@markusdd5 @levelsio hmm i disagree. the things he's talking about can be seen in every major city even small towns nowadays. Berlin might be peak though you're right. still no doomerism i think. very sad still.

@d4vs7 @levelsio extrapolating things from Berlin to the whole republic for example. I live in Dresden and a large part of the issues he has he could simply fix by moving inside the country.

@levelsio Some valid points but also exaggerated views or ones that are strictly regional to certain areas in e.g. Berlin. A lot of criticism is absolutely warranted, doomerism is not.

@LexnLin Yes, but all are less than the $100 plan on Codex tbh. Limits are way too easy to hit on Claude 🙃

teleologically the point of ycombinator “the startup that creates more startups” was to birth openai, the dawn of the autonomous self-casting spell at the end of capitalism. so garry tan going into the ai psychosis monastery to build gstack is all part of his artform and remit

@levelsio Isn’t the argument for LLMs.txt that it’s way more token efficient? The LLM doesn’t have to crawl your site. Or what’s the alternative? With mcp yeah never made sense to me.

Thank god MCP is dead Just as useless of an idea as LLMs.txt was It's all dumb abstractions that AI doesn't need because AI's are as smart as humans so they can just use what was already there which is APIs
Morgan@morganlinton

The cofounder and CTO of Perplexity, @denisyarats just said internally at Perplexity they’re moving away from MCPs and instead using APIs and CLIs 👀

I disagree with the take that teenagers can come in and implement this. I think the opposite is happening: founders / boomers that run these companies getting enabled to automate work that they usually outsourced or delegated. They know about their workflows and what has to be done. But most of them need help integrating this, this i agree with.

Mark Cuban on the next job wave. Customized AI integration for small to mid-sized companies. "Software is dead because everything's gonna be customized to your unique utilization. Who's gonna do it for them... And there are 33 mn companies in the US."
Rohan Paul@rohanpaul_ai

Competence is now a function of how effectively you offload cognition to silicon. The seniority hierarchy is collapsing, intelligence is becoming commoditized and the market is brutal for those who ignore it.
