Thousands of crabs are washing ashore all over South Australia, including on the islands south of the Spencer Gulf, while skates and rays down in the Goolwa and Middleton area are dying with the exact same bleeding symptoms as the neurotoxins from Karenia . Because these skates and rays feed directly on the crabs, the entire food chain is being impacted, meaning the sediment absolutely needs to be tested for toxins. It makes no sense why the South Australian government, SARDI, or DEW are not conducting testing for bacteria in the sediment , fresh mortalities - ? Or are they and it’s been kept quiet., especially now that our own marine scientists are calling out the very real, scientific possibility of a bacterial outbreak after millions of marine life have already died. People claim these thousands of crabs dying is just fresh water coming down from the Murray Mouth, or from city drains but that completely fails to explain how thousands of mass crabs are washing up on the South islands over in the Spencer Gulf, leaving many now saying it needs to be tested for Bacterial loads in our gulfs
