This is an ALL GIRLS Jewish school in my district. I’m all for prayer and free speech, but why do a bunch of GROWN MEN need to do this right outside of a school full of little Jewish girls??? Is not this what MOSQUES are for? Is this intentional? Mayor Mamdani @NYCMayor any words of wisdom on why all of a sudden they’d feel compelled to do this?

Something the mainstream media won’t spend much time talking about: A Michigan court just froze “hidden earmarks” buried in the state budget — a HUGE win for taxpayers 👏🏻 Here’s what that means: Politicians were sliding millions of YOUR tax dollars into the budget for special local projects and private interests without getting the constitutionally required supermajority vote. In this case? Taxpayer money was being funneled toward baseball stadium projects in Lansing and Utica through vague budget language designed to disguise who the money was really for. The court basically said: nice try… but that’s likely unconstitutional. Translation for average Michiganders: ➡️ Less backroom spending ➡️ Less political favoritism ➡️ More accountability for where your money goes ➡️ Lawmakers may finally be forced to follow the Michigan Constitution Even the judge noted these grants mainly benefited local communities — not the state as a whole — which means they likely required a 2/3 vote that never happened. For years, Lansing politicians have treated taxpayers like an unlimited ATM while roads crumble, schools struggle, and families get squeezed by inflation. This ruling hits pause on that hidden spending pipeline and could have major implications for billions in future earmarks. Michigan taxpayers should absolutely celebrate this one 🇺🇸💰 The court ruling halted additional payments while the lawsuit proceeds and centered on whether lawmakers bypassed constitutional voting requirements for local-purpose spending. mackinac.org/pressroom/2026…

Abbas is a friend and a dedicated public servant. He always speaks up for anyone targeted by hate. Anyone. Now he’s the target, the latest example of violence and Islamophobia — just days after white supremacist Jake Lang marched through the streets of Dearborn, burning a Quran. That kind of hate makes our kids more scared and our communities less safe. It also tears at one of the things that makes me most proud to be a Michigander: the fact that we all live together, side-by-side, with different backgrounds but shared community and purpose. No extremist will ever change that. And no family in Michigan — no matter who you are — should have to fear that this kind of violence will be directed at you. Enough.
