Kaitlin Bennett of Liberty Hangout was completely correct, so much so that... The city manager and police chief personally called her, apologized profusely, said she was welcome back anytime, and confirmed the trespass was lifted.... The police department publicly stated they would provide guidance to staff (i.e., retraining) to prevent similar incidents in the future. Some local comments and her own follow-ups explicitly noted the officers would be retrained on First Amendment/public forum rules. So not only was she CORRECT about the LAW and her RIGHTS but she was also CORRECT about how those police officers would have to go through RETRAINING because of it!!! LMAO Gooooo Kaitlin!!!
