You can buy another herbicide trait… like mesotrione/dicamba/24d stacks…keep doing what you’ve always done but fight the natural evolution nature is doing every year… look at what Roundup kills anymore. Used to be everything, now it’s just grass. Fall into the hands of multinational corporations with the ever ratcheting control. You can buy a laser with eyes for organic and keep growing 1 crop. Cool tech… but needs a 1 crop and dirt to work. It will get more and more expensive… creating more bondage and reliance on the tech OR You can use natural system think to eliminate the need to need the tech. System think is the only way to keep your independence… and be able to farm 500-2000 acres and make a good living. At the same time… ideas and equipment in this realm will stay under the radar because it doesn’t serve the farmers of farmers. Universities don’t get funded for resourcefulness. Resourcefulness take the “markets” that nature provides Sun, water, plants, animals, time, sequencing, perception, expression, canopy, thatch, carbon and creates more margin through omission and another level of productivity. It’s exciting to see all these ripples of #farmweird show up across the world. People taking a concept and putting their own spin on it. Bottom up instead of top down is the only path towards independence

Why don’t planter manufactures make the CCS tank on a corn planter like an air cart with one tank and one spot to draw seed from so there isn’t any measuring or weighing or worry about keeping tanks even?

About 7 years ago @MSNBC stopped by our farm. After a long interview of me explaining my libertarian/agnostic/ultra conservative view of agriculture and politics they took 1 quote from the interview asking about my view of trumps 2019 MFP payments “Any monkey can write a check” Our farm operation has been one of the most conservative minded in the area. We’ve squeezed the nickel so hard we grew 🌽 off its 💩, I’ve farmed with old, paid for equipment most of my life. Debt just wasn’t ever an option so we just did without. The local community… (farmer round table) called me a “liberal”… apparently since Libertarianism sounds like… liberal IDK, and anybody that doesn’t 🦜 @FoxNews is that… 7 years later a golden tractor is in the White House lawn next to the new Ball Room. @NutrienAgRetail just reported record profits and farms are struggling like the early - mid 80’s Check out whitehouse.gov/agriculture/ if you want to see what narcissism looks like. We don’t need another check or a loan. We need real conservative solutions. Slash all subsidies. Let the market figure this shit out…. But we’re so deeply fucked up that it would be pretty painful for a time until things balanced out. You can’t just keep buying votes. We don’t need more 🌽. We need 🥩 processing in every county We need the mathematics of independently owned 🐖 We need Agriculture to work again like it did before politicians let the corporations pad their pockets at the expense of the family farm.

Yesterday I laid to rest my father. The man has been my best friend since I could remember. Farm, work, pray, everything together. He died due to a highway accident and all I can say…. is be careful out there, do what you love to do, and give hugs to family while you still can🚜

70 years of unchecked consolidation and “get big or get out” farm policy but it was only the last four years. Earl Butz and Ezra Taft Benson, the original architects of that policy, were Republicans. We haven’t lost 3 million farms since the Eisenhower Administration because of Joe Biden. We don’t want partisan blame games, @SecRollins. We want people that actually give a darn about the destruction of the rural economy and do something about it.

I think this is one of the most startling and tragic statistics I have seen. Only 12% of 30 year olds are married and own a home. Marriage, family, and home ownership are the ultimate trifecta of security and happiness. I hope this trajectory can be reversed.
