@LarryBirdDaily Tough call. Either LeBron or Bird. Since LeBron is a choke artist I’d go w Bird.

@Steve_Sailer @BWLH_ I vaguely remember Stockton at Gonzaga. Then it seemed like 10 years after he left they became a famous program.

@BWLH_ Gonzaga kind of did that for awhile in basketball after John Stockton became famous: they seemed to target recruiting white and mixed race kids who'd stay for four years.

Because We Live Here 🇺🇸
I was in a meeting in early 2010s with two of the biggest college football donors in America. I said, “you know, the Patriots have shown a market inefficiency in evaluating White talent. Why not target undervalued White high schoolers and build team cohesion?”They both laughed.

@KillaKreww She didn’t like the no kids or Israel jokes. Those are the ones that stung.

Chelsea Handler goes OFF on Tony Hinchcliffe & Shane Gillis for making “racist” jokes at the Kevin Hart Roast and claims White people should NOT be joking about Black people in that kind of way since its equivalent to joking about r-pe 😳 “I knew enough about Tony & Shane… They’re racists, they’re bigots, they’re sexist… I don’t find those jokes funny. L-nching Black people is not a joke. It’s worse than r-pe… Them making fun of Sherryl Underwood’s dead husband who comitted s—cide is gross… I wasn’t fine with that. There was so much disgustingness, I knew it was gonna be a gross vibe.”

@JEvansville2026 @CSOonX No, just an idea I had. Never did anything with it. Although I _might_ have met Bryan Cranston when we were both kids in the San Fernando Valley in the 1960s. Probably not, but our backgrounds are fairly similar. I knew a lot of kids like him.

This has to be the craziest family tree of all-time: 🧬🌳 - Former USC TE Jordan Cameron has 3 kids with Tiger Woods' ex-wife, Elin Nordegren - His sister, former USC SG Brynn Cameron, has a son with Matt Leinart and 2 children with Blake Griffin Imagine that Thanksgiving dinner. 🦃˜

@Steve_Sailer @CEBowenJr My buddy, who was a film critic, always thought it was funny to go to movies early and loudly regale me w his opinionated movie reviews and he would always badly mispronounce Scorsese. It would drive ppl crazy.

@danfromdc @CEBowenJr Yeah, Scorsese, who knows a thing or two about making movies, made the right choice going with DeNiro over Keitel as his guy.

Harvey Keitel is a great actor and I think everyone knows that but I still can’t shake the suspicion that he’s taken for granted. Good lord, look at the man’s run in the 1990s alone…

@ArtemisConsort I dunno, white people like black people a lot. That suggests blacks tend to have appealing personalities.

If you say “test scores aren’t everything, intangible personality factors matter too” as a defense of admitting lower-scoring Blacks and Hispanics to degree programs, you’re necessarily saying Blacks and Hispanics have better personalities on average. There’s no evidence for this

@CEBowenJr If, after Mean Streets in 1973, Scorsese had made Keitel, rather than DeNiro, His Guy, would Keitel have DeNiro's career and DeNiro Keitel's. I can imagine that. Or did drugs make Keitel less reliable for awhile?

“Ursula K Le Guin's frequently requoted encomium –– ‘Wolfe is our Melville’ –– may be fairly understood to suggest that both authors share a vast omnivorousness and grasp, best perhaps exemplified by Wolfe in The Book of the New Sun and Herman Melville in Moby-Dick (1851); it might also be noted that Wolfe’s presentation of his central protagonists may constitute the most sophisticated apprehension by any American author to date of the auctorial legerdemain at the heart of Melville's late masterpiece, The Confidence-Man: His Masquerade (1857): which is to say Wolfe does Melville.” –– John Clute

@Steve_Sailer @ScottMGreer I’ve done business with both companies. Toys R Us was full of low down dirty pieces of shit. What are you going to call them Steve? People in Bentonville were always pleasant, nice, and professional. Different accents than you though. So your opprobrium is justified, right.
