@spikedonline Irreparable imminent risk of prejudice to the rights found to be plausible under the genocide convention. And the Crown government has aided and abetted for last three years.

The charity-industrial complex is crippling British democracy. Forget about shady millionaires nobbling ministers in exclusive dining clubs. Today, it’s well-funded ‘human rights’ NGOs that have politicians at their beck and call, says Andrew Tettenborn buff.ly/Drp6bBn

@jomickane Right Green Party/Milliband supporters, time for proper due diligence on your policies. Start with solar panels ! Where do they come from, how are they manufactured, what is the real cost/benefit & what’s their eco footprint. Challenge your leaders don’t assume they have this?

Somebody should ask Ed if he knows that once Solar Panels go onto farmland they can NEVER be used again to grow food.... EVER This is a Representative from Michigan talking about their potato farms & what happens when solar leeches onto the fields & the heavy metal contamination. This applies to everywhere pushing these things 🤬. They are destroying our farmland

Why are so many MPs so utterly obsessed with Israel? Three in four urgent questions from Green MPs are now about Gaza. The obsession with the world’s only Jewish state is unhinged, says Elliot Keck buff.ly/mK8O4gU

Serial entrepreneur Phil Hollingdale has founded, scaled and exited 6 companies. He sold everything, put his family home on the line, slept in his office for weeks at a time. He’s employed thousands of people and paid millions £ in tax. Increase CGT rates again and he’s leaving the UK. There are thousands of Phils across the country.

Well this is awkward … @garyseconomics central claim is that billionaires hoard wealth and plunge people into poverty. The data does not support this claim. Between 2010 and 2025 the number of US billionaires rose from 400 to 900. At the same time the rate of people living in poverty declined from 15% to 11%. In the UK the number of billionaires rose from 74 to a peak of 177 and is now in decline. During that time the percentage of people living in poverty was stable at 21-22%. It’s as if, a growing economy lifts people out of poverty and a stagnant one doesn’t. Billionaires clearly do not create poverty. They do however pay a lot in taxes. Driving them out is stupid and based on envy not data. BONUS FUN FACT: The number of people who describe themselves as “socialists” in the UK is 1 in 5 and in the USA it’s 1 in 12… almost perfectly aligned to the poverty rate in each country.

🔵 Nearly 10,000 children in Gaza have contracted chickenpox as Israel’s blockade has left the Strip without the vaccine and deprived its health system of medicines and essential supplies, according to Dr. Ahmed Al-Fara, head of pediatrics at Nasser Medical Complex. 🔹A 2-year-old child died today from complications of the disease, Shehab News reported. Al-Fara said Israel’s forced displacement of Palestinians into overcrowded shelters, alongside devastated sanitation, medicine shortages and collapsing healthcare, is accelerating the spread of infectious disease. 🔹Child malnutrition is also rising sharply, while anemia now affects 50–55% of pregnant women and the abortion rate has reached about 47%, he said. 🔹UN reporting has independently documented more than 9,000 chickenpox cases and the severe overcrowding and health-system breakdown driving the outbreak.
Warfare Analysis@warfareanalysis

A massive chickenpox outbreak is spreading rapidly across Gaza’s crowded displaced families tents 20 day old Palestinian baby girl Tala Abu Ghali has contracted the disease while living with her family in an extremely hot tent with almost no basic necessities.

I’m not defending billionaires. I’m defending the economic system that protects the freedom to own property and to compete in the market. I’m not worried about billionaires, I’m worried about big government destroying the economy. Billionaires make money through voluntary trade and achieve wealth through voluntary investment. Governments get their money through forced extraction and spend it through box-ticking bureaucrats. A billionaire must create a win-win to get money and we know this creates an economically richer society - albeit unevenly distributed. Government can extract from the productive and do unproductive things with the money - which creates an economically poorer society. Neither is ideal but I’d chose an unequal wealthy society over an equal impoverished one any day.

While the world watches the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran hanged a 19-year-old boy today. His name is Erfan Esfandiari and he was his parents' only child. He did not kill anyone. He did not carry a weapon. His crime, according to the Islamic Republic, was opening a door. Sheltering protesters who were running from security forces. That was enough to send him to the gallows. Erfan was one of 12 young men in the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan, arrested during the January 2026 uprising. Yesterday, all 12 were moved to quarantine. Today, the Islamic Republic hanged him. This is a government that is so terrified of a generation that refuses to be silent, that it executes teenagers for the act of compassion. Say his name. Because the regime is already trying to erase him. Because his mother and father are left with nothing, not even the right to grieve loudly.

@ErinStapylton @AlinejadMasih It's easy for folk to commit others families to conditionalities that will destroy them. A full scale war will do that. It would be a war that would see greater violence emerge.

Be audacious @andyburnham! REMEMBER: 75% of the UK public back a Wealth Tax (& 75% of UK millionaires do too!) The howlers might be loud (because they own newspapers and social media platforms), but in reality they are a tiny, greedy minority protecting their stash.

If anyone is wondering why I have an interest in Israel and Gaza etc, it's because the Disneyfication of terrorism isn't limited to events in Northern Ireland. It's happening right now, on a grand scale, in real time, a couple of years after one of the worst terrorist atrocities in modern times. That's why I'm interested and also sickened by what is occurring. The dishonesty, the ignorance, the hate, the moral bankruptcy is off the scale but if you are interested in propaganda and social psychology, it's hard to look away. It reveals something very dark and disturbing about a sizeable section of the human race and it's worth paying attention because that's the type of people who live in your society. If you already knew that about people, it serves as a useful reminder.

I didn’t say it would. But there are other strong reasons for doing it — more jobs, investment, security of supply, balance of payments, tax revenues etc etc. As for cheaper energy bills ‘in the long run’, one, there is no evidence for this, two, as Keynes said, in the long run we’re all dead. Like most UK manufacturing, killed on the alter of the highest energy costs in the world.
Cal Robinson@GoldRobin_11

@afneil How would unleashing North Sea help slash bills? Also net zero saves us more money in the long run than it costs Yet again ideas that sound good but actually do nothing
