I had a move around of the app icons on my phone, and I discovered I can live without this one. So this is probably my last post here. If you want to find me on Threads or BlueSky, you should be able to guess my name.

@All_UK_Stations Ditto! I think I did the reverse, getting off the same Euston service (about 5.20) and then getting on a cross country.

Stafford ✅ Station 794/2579 Just a quick change here from a CrossCountry onto an Avanti to Euston. Even in this short wait there’s still lots to see here!

Oh dear - home deluged with 8 inches of rain on ground floor + oak tree at front down taking power line with it. Humans fine, chickens lost, bees ok, neighbours great, hospitality in near future unlikely

There are a couple of accidentals missing in the above graphic, but they are fixed in the PDF!

Over the last few days, for some reason, "For all the saints" has been going through my head. Then it turned into a descant. So I've written that down and if you happen to be singing that in a couple of weeks and want a descant, feel free to use this. dansoper.co.uk/images/downloa…

@MrTimDunn Disappointing symbol: a line coming out of the double arrow symbol (shouldn’t be touched) turns into a piece a paper and goes through a printing press. Or could be two tube tunnels. Needs redesigning immediately with something more celebratory.

#OnThisDay 27 Sept 1825, the first steam-hauled passengers were officially carried on a public railway: the Stockton & Darlington. That single trip changed the world. So exactly 198 yrs later, I’m in Darlington: today, colleagues & I have some CHUFFING BIG news for you…

Hello @DirectLine how can you justify quoting more than double the price for car insurance vs last year? (£0 claim and maximum no claim discount)

@MichaelSadgrove Too much detail for a tweet, I know, but did you know the frieze was added a year later?

Waiting for the train… one of the sculptures depicting railways and rail travel on the frieze at the base of the bronze embracing couple in St Pancras Station. The sculpture entitled ‘The Meeting Place’ is by Paul Day and was unveiled in 2007.
