I always struggle to remember the things I've read or learned in the past when I need it most, even while keeping tons of notes. Easy to consume the content but hard to retrieve the knowledge when you need it Bc of that, I'm shipping an AI Note Copilot that I use myself built on @cursor_ai @vercel and @Railway that takes notes and helps me ask questions like: - What have I changed my mind on? - What did I think about xyz 3 years ago? - How did I approach this situation in the past and what did I learn? It ended up generating really powerful results

Let’s go!! Thrilled to be a part of this team
Nominal@Nominal_io

Ambition is timeless. Tools are not. Today @nominal_io is announcing an $80M fundraise at a $1B valuation, led by @traestephens and @zebulgar at @foundersfund. Since our Series B 10 months ago: 7x revenue growth. 2x team growth. Hardware engineers are stuck between 1980s-era tools and .com software built to be replaced. We're fixing the data supply chain so the industrial sector can adopt AI and enter the next era of ambition. We’re also releasing Volume 1 of the Nominal Product Catalog: "Tools for Progress." catalog.nominal.io We're grateful for continued participation from @sequoia, @generalcatalyst, @Lux_Capital, @lightspeedvp, @redglassvc, @avenirgrowth, and @haystackvc. All Systems Nominal.

For the first time in history, over 1 in 3 startups were started solo this year. Introducing The State of Solo Founding: exclusive data from Carta + commentary from top founders and investors. solofounders.com/report Solo founders seem odd today. Soon they'll be the default.

Curious: have you “vibe-coded” any software that you use regularly? If so, what does it do?

@packyM Maybe that’s the only benefit - govt is dysfunctional, but set up in a way that everyone benefits (politicians included) from private innovation

Beginning of Infinity by @DavidDeutschOxf is one of those books that takes a few tries (I think) to figure out what he’s actually saying, but once you do, hard to look at anything going on the same way again

@levelsio I built an app for myself to do something kinda similar, haven’t tried uploading stripe data tho. If it’s PDF it should work! It’s AInotecopilot.com give it a try and I’m curious if it’d work for you for this use case

So I have about 6 years of my daily life logged now, from what I eat, to bugs fixed, to features added, to going to gym It also often has a photo with it too Super autistic but it keeps me accountable and nice to log life Now I wanna see if I can combine this data set with for example Stripe revenue data and health data And then see if I can find conclusions from it? Like "when you deadlift heavier your revenue goes up 3 months later" or smth How would I approach this cause it's kinda ambiguous data problem?

Any idea that you write down in Notes app and tell yourself you'll visit later is probably not that good of an idea. The really good ideas fill your body with excitement and make you want to start working on them immediately

Does anybody have built an app completely using Windsurf/ Cursor? without a single line of code by yourself. One important point is that the app should be usable and useful.

@CJHandmer This was great Why do you think there’s such a strong force against pragmatism in CA? Clearly some strongly intertwined groups benefit against pragmatic solutions, so how does that get unwound to actually execute on the common sense ideas?

As a Californian it pains me to see the state struggle beneath the weight of its inherent contradictions and defiantly compromised governance. I smashed out a few thousand words outlining a path to regaining relevance in the national leadership conversation. Why? The strength of the US is syncretism, and a strong Progressive movement will help generate better ideas for the next century of US competitiveness. We are not there today, to put it mildly. California can't keep its cities safe, watered, or uncombusted. The failure of its governance is so obvious it can be seen from space. We must do better. Link below obv.

@PalmerLuckey I actually had the same problem myself @PalmerLuckey so just built something that keeps context at scale better

What is currently the best solution for turning a large collections of personal notes and chats into an LLM-interrogable dataset? It seems like most off-the-shelf options can't keep context at scale.

@PalmerLuckey Takes a slight amount of upfront work to get rolling, but ainotecopilot.com Embeds, chunks and stores all your files (.md, .doc, pdf, whatever) and makes it all available for retrieval. Can keep uploading docs as you create more No total size limit like ChatGPT/claude has
