@datechris hey Chris, I’m Clark. I met you at Salem. I had to leave towards the end during questions. I think God how He’s gifted you, with the ability to explain what life and death means. I helped a few understand because of you and ministry. Blessings, safe travels

If you're touch with Rosaria Butterfield, tell her I challenge her to a debate on annihilationism. I'll travel and plan around her schedule. She wants to call annihilationism version 2.0 of celibate gay affirmation? Let her put her claims to the test in debate vs one of its foremost defenders.

They don't seem to understand that they are no longer gatekeepers. We don't have to beg legacy outlets to represent us accurately, we now have our own channels and can easily ratio them. Inboxes stuffed with profanity-laced threats following hit pieces will not deter us. Holy trouble? Yes please.

@iwonderdaily That's possible, but it's equally possible that, because mankind is fallen, many believe or wish annihilationism or universalism is true. Meaning, God is far more just than us. The psychologizing can go either way. W need to accept what Scripture teaches, not what feels just.

@datechris Could it be that because mankind is fallen, that many believe or wish eternal conscious torment is true? Meaning God is far more just than us

@jubileemedia I'm one of the world's foremost defenders of a Christian view of hell known as annihilationism or conditional immortality. Would you be interested in hosting an episode of Surrounded featuring me?

@diognetus9 I think @DrPaulCopan would say yes, because the resurrection of the saved includes glorification and the removal of a sinful nature, where that of the lost does not. And I think this is standard ECT.

@datechris I’m back with another question. 😅 I noticed at the 13:55 to 14:40 min mark that Paul Copan refers to “transformed physicality for the believer and then a physical resurrection which is qualitatively different [for the unbeliever?]” Does he affirm two resurrection natures?

@diognetus9 He might, in his portion of the conclusion. But the ECP philosopher in our book makes this argument.

@datechris Paul Copan’s repeated appeal to God’s love requiring Him to grant ongoing life forever to the wicked was out of left field for me. Does he explain this in the book?

What really happens when we die? Do you believe all souls are inherently immortal? Or is immortality a GIFT God gives specifically to those who repent and put their faith in Christ? If you’re interested in this topic and want to do a deep dive into the nature of souls and what the Bible really teaches about heaven & hell, I hope you’ll join us THIS Wednesday for HELLGATE! It's a special episode on The Kirk Cameron Show where we deep dive into this topic with 4 scholars and an open Bible, covering all of this and more.
