It looks like Iran is left with only two choices: sit back and watch the US Navy escort ships through the strait, losing all their leverage, or respond militarily to protect it. The former would gut their bargaining power, while the latter gives the US and Israel the perfect excuse to restart hostile military operations. We all know what Iran is going to choose. The moment their speedboats fire a shot, US and the IDF will drop the missiles. Tbh i think Washington played this one pretty smart. They’ve set the bait perfectly. #oott #iran

Companies will be required to respond to police and emergency officials within 30 seconds and face penalties if their vehicles enter active emergency zones. Previously, officers who stopped a driverless car committing a violation had no mechanism to issue a ticket without a driver present. In one documented case, San Bruno police watched a Waymo make an illegal U-turn directly in front of them and could only contact the company about the glitch. San Francisco Fire Department officials have repeatedly complained about robotaxis blocking emergency responses. My Take Driverless cars have been operating on public roads without any mechanism for traffic enforcement, which is a regulatory failure that should never have existed. The autonomous vehicle industry moved faster than the legal framework, something I've watched repeat across AI deployment all year. The 30-second response requirement and manufacturer liability structure are reasonable starting points, but they don't address the more fundamental question of what happens when an AI system causes harm that goes beyond a traffic ticket. A Waymo blocking an intersection during a medical emergency, or stalling in a blackout and gridlocking a city, is a different category of consequence than a speeding fine. The manufacturer notification system works for moving violations. It becomes much harder to apply when the question is who bears liability for an outcome that an algorithm produced with no human in the loop to hold accountable. Hedgie🤗

This whole "nobody can find a job" situation feels a little too familiar. Reddit is flooded with posts about it. LinkedIn is a graveyard. Resumes sent into the void, never to return. But here is the thing. This is not an accident. This is not a rough patch in the economy. This is the beginning of something that was planned a long time ago. In the not so distant future, having a job will be a privilege reserved for a carefully selected semi-elite class of people. The rest will be left dependent, desperate, and compliant. Right where they want you. And the AI robots? They are not coming for your job. They already have it. You just have not been officially notified yet. We are not watching a crisis unfold. We are watching a controlled demolition. And right now we are only seeing the crumbs.
