Buffer zones are such a terrible concept. You can have a Klan rally in a religious institution (or, in this case, sell off Palestinian land in violation of international law) and get a literal safe space for your evil political ideology.

Here’s a shot to show the distance between the buffer zone and Park East Synagogue. The protestors are on the eastern corners of 67th and 3rd. And the synagogue entrance is on 67th between 3rd and Lexington Ave.

Circling back to this, i don’t think protest goes far enough. People need to sue for first amendment violations. Closing entire city blocks for illegal land sales is a direct infringement of constitutional rights. Absurdly so.
