Today is going to be a bit of a different article. I want to tell you what happened to me this week in the Netherlands.
I was invited to speak at a conference organised by Thinc, a Dutch think tank, on the weaponisation of international law against Israel. My first talk to the main audience was about the psychological function of that weaponisation. The point I made was simple: accusations against Israel are no longer treated as accusations; they are presented as verdicts. The allegation becomes the punishment.
Israel is accused of genocide, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, collective punishment, starvation, war crimes, and so on. In normal legal reasoning, such claims are tested against evidence, definitions, context, intent, precedent, and the conduct of the enemy. However, in anti-Israel discourse, the accusation itself is treated as a judgment. The charge is enough. The slogan is enough. The process becomes the stick with which the Jewish state is beaten.
My second speech was at the Free University in Amsterdam alongside the superb Anne Herzberg and Danny Orbach. I am told the event had been difficult to organise. The university had hosted pro-Palestinian events, but this was apparently the first event that could be considered to have given a more balanced perspective, and the organisers had to jump through a number of hoops to make it happen.
When we arrived, security escorted us to the lecture room. This was something of a clue that things were not normal. Outside the room, we were met by what I suppose you could call an arrivals committee: four activists in keffiyehs, silently holding Palestinian flags.
That gave us a fairly good sense of how the morning would go...

This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: nytimes.com/2026/05/11/opi…

This Day (May 10) in 1994, Yasser Arafat admitted the “peace process” was a farce.
Just months after shaking Yitzhak Rabin’s hand on the White House lawn, Arafat stood in a mosque in Johannesburg & told the truth — in Arabic, to a Muslim audience, when he thought the West wasn’t listening.
He openly declared the Oslo “peace” agreement was nothing more than a “tactical step” — a temporary truce, exactly like the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah that Muhammad used before conquering Mecca.
He then called for “jihad to liberate Jerusalem.”
This was not a slip of the tongue. This was the real Arafat when speaking in Arabic to a non-Western audience.
From the moment he founded Fatah in the late 1950s, Arafat was a terrorist and a liar. His career was built on murder: plane hijackings, embassy sieges, the massacre of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics, the Coastal Road massacre, the Achille Lauro hijacking, school bus bombings, and endless suicide attacks.
The world desperately wanted to believe that giving him legitimacy, billions in aid, weapons, and territory would turn him into a statesman. Instead, it simply gave one of the 20th century’s most prolific terrorists a sovereign base, international respectability, and vast sums of money to enrich himself and his cronies.
While Arafat played the peacemaker in English, he continued inciting, funding, and glorifying terror in Arabic. He rejected Ehud Barak’s offer of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital at Camp David in 2000 — then launched the Second Intifada, the bloodiest terror war Israel had ever seen.
He was never interested in building a state. He was only interested in destroying the Jewish one — by terror, diplomacy, lying to/ideologically capturing the West, demographics, whatever worked.
Arafat died a billionaire while his people remained in poverty, their suffering weaponized as propaganda. He was a cold-blooded murderer, a pathological liar, and a world-class kleptocrat to the very end.
The Johannesburg speech was the real Yasser Arafat, and the West just kept looking the other way.

NYT calls Mahmoud Khalil a neutral “mediator” in Columbia clashes. Wrong.
He was the protesters’ partisan lead negotiator for the Gaza encampment that created a “serious & pervasive” antisemitic climate—Jewish students harassed, intimidated, unsafe on campus (per univ task force).
Times’ continued pro-Khalil whitewash is inaccurate wrong. @nytimes

“I’ve spoken to congressional colleagues who have privately told me that many things Mr. Piker has said are disgusting.
Yet they’ll say nothing about it in public.”
Josh Gottheimer is one of the first Democrats to take a stand against the embrace of Hasan Piker.
When are more leaders going to speak out against Piker’s bigotry?

Let's debunk the lies on Israeli checkpoints.
This day (May 10) in 2016, at Hizme checkpoint near Jerusalem, Palestinian terrorists detonated an explosive, seriously wounding an Israeli officer. They had 5 more bombs.
How many innocent lives were saved by that checkpoint?
This is but one example of why endless accusations that they represent “apartheid” are not just wrong — they are obscene, ahistorical, and deliberately misleading.
Checkpoints did not exist for DECADES after 1967. There were virtually none during the relatively quiet years.
They were forced into existence by the actions of Palestinian terrorists.
When the Second Intifada exploded in 2000, suicide bombers and gunmen turned Israeli buses, cafés, restaurants, and shopping malls into slaughterhouses. More than 1,000 Israelis were murdered in a campaign of unrelenting terror.
Checkpoints and the security barrier were a direct, last-resort response to nonstop massacres.
And they worked.
They caught bomb after bomb, knife after knife, terrorist after terrorist before they could reach Israeli civilians.
Examples:
- October 23, 2012: A 19-year-old caught at Kalandiya checkpoint with eight pipe bombs
- July 27, 2014: A car stopped with a massive explosive device attached to gas cylinders.
- July 4, 2017: A vehicle with mismatched plates revealed six Palestinians carrying knives, stun grenades, and Molotov cocktails.
Every time Israel significantly relaxed checkpoints during periods of calm, terror attacks surged again.
The “apartheid” smear is a lie designed to invert reality. Apartheid was a system to permanently oppress a racial group and deny them basic rights. Israeli checkpoints have proven beyond all doubt to be necessary security measures that can and will be relaxed or removed the day Palestinian terrorists stop trying to murder every Israeli they can find.
No other country on Earth is expected to leave its civilians completely undefended while its neighbors openly call for its destruction and its people’s extermination.
Checkpoints save lives — Israeli and Palestinian alike — by stopping the terrorists who would otherwise turn everyday life into a bloodbath. Simple, unavoidable fact: untold thousands of innocents have been saved by these checkpoints.

Holy Zionist, Batman!
WhatsApp founder, Jan Koum just wrote a check to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
Want to take a guess how big the donation is?
Hint: It’s the largest philanthropic donation in the history of Israel's healthcare system.
Ready?
$200,000,000!!
Once upon a time, a young Jewish boy arrived in California from Kiev. He was 16.
His family lived on food stamps.
He cleaned floors at a grocery store for some pocket change.
Today, that little boy’s donation will triple the size of one of Jerusalem's most important hospitals!
Absolutely incredible.
Faith in humanity… Restored.

Three people were just shot with a pellet gun outside of a synagogue in Toronto.
Stronger than the average BB gun, pellet guns aren't toys for children. They are even used in hunting small animals.
It's assault, plain and simple. And it is happening outside of a synagogue. Officials are even wondering if it's related to a similar incident.
The hate in Canada is out of control.

@yomommaossama @HenMazzig Stfu indeed

@HenMazzig If you want her opinion:
It's disappointing what has happened since then.
It's always disappointing when there isn't compliance.” She... did not “know the full extent of what Israel might have done” in response to the order to avoid Genocide violation

@shitty_witch @ProfDBernstein @shoop0000 Idk, is it illegal for people to buy property in Paraguay, Colombia, Argentina or any one of scores of countries that have been colonized by White, Western powers? If you whatabout that away, kindly STFU.
English

@ProfDBernstein @shoop0000 is it illegal or not for Israeli citizens to move into the occupied territory?
English

People who are claiming that the "Real estate in Israel" event at a synagogue in NYC that protestors attempted to storm was "illegal" aren't referring to US law or Israeli law, but to some law that doesn't exist except in their minds.
Of course, if it were actually illegal, there would have been no need to protest, they could have just asked the cops to shut it down.
English

@shoop0000 @ProfDBernstein Nice virtue signaling on your Antisemitism by reducing Israel and Israeli to lower case and implying, quite literally, that Jews are less than.
English

@ProfDBernstein Is WB/JS occupied territory or not? All the legal discourse around any israeli actions there is "as the occupying power, israel has the right/obligation to..." and it's very clear it's illegal to settle civilains in occupied territory. Feel free to annex or draw borders any time.

@ninaturner @uspolitics1111 @BenjaminPDixon F you, racist. If you didn't obsess over hating Jews and Israel so much, maybe you would have won OH-11. Which, by the way, had a substantial Jewish demographic. Next time maybe try advocating for the people you want to represent.
English

@uspolitics1111 @BenjaminPDixon OH-11 in 2021 & 2022 was the template for AIPAC and Isreal first affiliated groups. They spent millions in OH-11 against me and took that model to New York (Bowmen) & St. Louis (Bush). I am glad the truth is coming out and people are fighting back.
English

Cori Bush lost because her opponent got fifteen million dollars from AIPAC. Jamaal Bowman, too.

"ABSOLUTELY!" is how @CoriBush responded when @hasanthehun asked if she thought the Democratic Party was taking the black vote for granted.
