@Roto_Frank Yeah always lots going on.. he was getting a lot of buzz in ST. Was added to the 40 man during the winter so the team was taking him seriously. His hard hit and exit velo was way up. I think he set a record for most consecutive hits over 110 EV (may have been 100+) in ST.

@davidodomcpt We explained on the pod. He wasn’t in even in the Dbacks top 30 prospects and had a subpar minor league career up until spring training. There are a million things happening in spring training but admittedly I did not see what he was doing.

Shane McClanahan had 7 Ks over 3.2 IP while collecting 10 Whiffs and topping out at 97.5 MPH. His Changeup registered a 67% Whiff% (8/13) and he tossed 55 pitches this afternoon. A very encouraging sign as we inch closer to the start of the Regular Season.

Sam Antonacci has quietly been having a good spring. 18 PA 4/13 2B, 2 HR, 3 SB 3 BB, 0 K I have him as a Top-100 prospect now.

@JonPgh I think it was over reaction to the GM comments. It’s Bieber first year back from injury and he was pushed a lot of innings. Every coach/GM is going to say we’re going to play him safe… he’s working his way back what do we expect? I’ve been grabbing shares of him all winter!

@Padres_fan67 @CBSScottWhite He was offered a 7 yr to stay.. but his AAV for 3 yrs was millions per year higher with 3 so he will probably make 35-50M more over the same 7 yrs

@CBSScottWhite What does it say that he only got a 3 year deal. A few years ago, he would have gotten a decade long deal. Hopefully it means teams and going to stop giving out those contracts that always because albatross's on the franchise
