Then again, I’ve searched for credentials for other Brownstone contributors (like Ian Miller, author of an anti-mask book) & come up completely empty.

@LauraMiers I did actually see a sentence in an article yesterday that mentioned masking as a way to reduce exposure to the incoming winter illness spike (buried in the last paragraph, but still). Was quite surprised.

I’m issuing a challenge: Can anyone find a single article that presents masking as a potential solution to overflowing children’s hospitals and mass “respiratory” disease? All the recent articles recommend handwashing & everything BUT masks. Like, it’s deliberate.

If it’s a “Winter virus. Winter illness. Stomach bug. Respiratory illness. Flu-like illness. Mystery illness. Serious lung infection. Pneumonia. Common virus. Standard virus. Not-Covid,” then action is NEVER required. We can call it what we want, but the end result is the same.

Turns out a trainee failed to zero out the scale at @USPS which led to 39 prepaid packages weighing in at least 12oz overweight. Regular staff know me & that I only ship packages 8oz or less, mostly 2oz. I estimate this mistake will cost me nearly $200. Unacceptable.
