It is notable that one of the most pronounced differences between Ukraine and the USA is that while both have corruption problems, the Ukr are investigating theirs up to the highest levels of govt, while the US govt is openly fostering more corruption.

The Trump administration is now openly stealing from Europe. They are taking in funds through PURL, supposedly to provide arms for Ukraine, but refusing to deliver the weapons. pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2026/…

Of all the batsh*t arguments being put forward by Trump supporters, the one that he was good for Ukraine is easily the most disingenuous. This is what Trump did: Stopped all aid to Ukraine Starved Ukraine of air defense (which helped Putin kill Ukrainians), Tried to bully Ukraine into handing over territory and people to Putin, Protected Putin from harsh sanctions (and then got rid of those), Interfered regularly in Ukrainian politics, Built up the narrative that Russia was super strong while Ukraine had no cards, Even now, he does Putin's dirty work in negotiating with Ukraine--remember the parade deception. Yes, Trump has destroyed the notion of their being any truth in politics, but do not let these frauds get away with it.

If genocide is determined by intent rather than outcome, then October 7 was the clearest example of genocide in the 21st century.

Eyal Waldman is a decent and honorable man whom I have gotten to know closely since October 7, and was one of the first Israelis to reach out to me online once I had grown a presence following the tragedy of my family’s killing in Gaza by Israeli airstrikes. Despite losing his daughter to Hamas’s heinous massacre on October 7, he has been relentlessly pursuing radically pragmatic initiatives, and we have both been in multiple spaces, conferences, events, and arenas to discuss ways in which Palestinians and Israelis can both have safety, security, self-determination, and freedom. He not only supports peace and the inevitable need to establish a Palestinian self-rule because it is the moral thing to do, but he also recognizes it is imperative for protecting Israel’s long-term interests and needs as a Jewish and democratic state. The blind hatred by the so-called “pro-Palestine” activists against Eyal here is typical behavior of brownshirt-esque militias who simply hear someone’s identity and react blindly despite his goodwill gesture and outreach. The “pro-Palestine” mafia fails to appreciate that there will never be a free or independent Palestine without making alliances with broad segments in Israel, including in government, civil society, business, and faith communities. You don’t have to agree with everything Eyal says or believes to acknowledge that he is a decent, honorable, and a class-A human being, the embodiment of pursuing peace and reconciliation across entrenched narratives and deep personal trauma.

Eyal Waldman hired 20 engineers in Gaza, donated $360K to a Gaza hospital, and spent years building partnerships toward between Israeli and Palestinians. Pro-Palestinian protesters screamed “murderer” at him in Venice this week. His daughter was killed at Nova on October 7.

I confronted the russian ambassador at Venice Biennale because no one else did. In the last 24 hours russia bombed city centres & a kindergarten. Dozens murdered in the streets. The russian pavilion here is filled with free champagne & art to whitewash their war crimes.

There are more Muslims living in Israel as full-citizens than there are Jews living (as citizens or not) in the 49 Muslim majority countries put together. This should be the only argument you need to debunk the false claim that Israel is an ethnostate.

The Iranian regime wants to kill Narges Mohammadi because they are afraid of the voice of opposition from inside the country. She is a a Nobel Peace Prize winner, a symbol of courage and peace. But the regime targeting her is the very opposite: one of the greatest enemies of peace. For years, from inside Evin Prison, she has exposed the regime’s abuse of women and political prisoners. They could not silence her words, so now they are trying to break her body. What we are witnessing is is a deliberate strategy. Denying her urgent medical care is a slow execution designed to eliminate one of the powerful voices of resistance inside Iran. If anything happens to Narges, the responsibility lies directly with the Islamic Republic. The world knows her name. The world knows what is happening. Now the world must act. Transfer her to independent doctors immediately. Release her unconditionally. Because when you stay silent, you stand with the jailer, not the prisoner.

The USA has not only ceased being leader of the free world, it has ceased being a member of the free world. It betrays democratic allies and supports expansionist dictatorships. The only question Americans need to ask themselves is do they want this to continue?

Russia is dismantling 9,000 parade seats because Victory Day is getting scaled back. There will be no tanks in Moscow because they are burning in Donbas. Foreign leaders crashed from 29 to 4. This is karma for starting a war you can’t finish.

I resigned as U.S. Ambassador Ukraine when Trump kept siding with Putin over our democratic partner. Now, my successor is doing the same. I knew I had to speak out and run for office because siding with dictators is just not who we are.
Amy Mackinnon@ak_mack

Scoop: Julie Davis, the acting US Ambassador in Kyiv, is leaving the State Department having grown frustrated with Trump's dwindling support for Ukraine. Davis's resignation follows that of her predecessor, Bridget Brink, who resigned for similar reasons early last year. W/@christopherjm  as.ft.com/r/1781e555-fad…
