My friend/bf/ex/friend 😂 and I occasionally catch up. We'd gist about my dating woes and he'd say in the softest, kindest voice with care in his eyes “You'll meet someone soon” I imagine his face when he says it on the phone too—makes me laugh and is weirdly comforting 🤭😭

Does anyone else find it crazy men can sexually transmit cancer to women and we just are like .. ok with that and don’t encourage more men to get vaccinated against HPV ? 42% of all sexually active men carry HPV and because it does not show any symptoms to the male, and does not show up on any tests, he transmits it unknowingly and can give women cancer !! It’s literally insane we do not discuss this more.

If they had informed the king, what would he have done? Would it prevent the men from going on a rampage? What would the king do? This has been going on for years, no?

Last month, I wrote an essay on rape culture.
The backlash was immediate, dismissive and harsh. Today, the internet is in outrage over a “raping festival” being defended as culture, as though this is some shocking anomaly. But is it? Culture is not abstract. It is what we repeatedly permit, excuse, and normalize. And if we’re honest, rape has long moved past the stage of shock in our society. We see it. We scroll past it. Or worse, we interrogate the victim, searching for technicalities that make it easier to digest. That is what normalization looks like. So the much deeper probe isn’t why a community is bold enough to defend something this violent. The question is: what have we, collectively, been tolerating all along that made that boldness possible? If there’s something I am sure of, it is that outrage is easy when it is distant. But it becomes much harder when it requires us to confront ourselves.

“Odumodublvck’s lyrics are marked by a more explicit fusion of sexuality and menace. In the controversial song “Cast” with Shallipopi, he raps: “Big Kala, I need your bunda, mama / If she no fuck o, if she no suck / Who go pay for her wig and handbag?” Now that the rape case has died down, the hashtags have ceased. And society has continued to live, tolerating the excesses of men. Yet when another rape case springs up, we act surprised. In an essay I wrote on @tweetedbyCC I examine how the seemingly little things wreak the greatest compounded havoc. Read here: culturecustodian.com/how-micro-perm…

There is a rape festival somewhere in the world and men have the audacity to diss on feminism?
TENIOLA@Teeniiola

Many girls have reportedly been r@p£d and m0l£sted by men in Ozoro during what is being described as a “r@p!ng festival” in the area. According to multiple reports and videos circulating online, today is said to be the day of this festival in the Ozoro community, and girls are wvrned not to go outside. It is alleged that any girl seen outside could be att@ck£d and r@p£d by groups of men. Foreigners who are unaware of this situation have reportedly fallen v!ctim as well. There is Delta state university in Ozoro, and many female students may not be fully aware of the d@nger. It is distvrbing that something like this could be tolerated in society. This is heartbreaking, and urgent action needs to be taken.

In 2026, people’s mothers, people’s sisters, are living in terror because of a supposed “culture” This is beyond sad! And we cannot continue to live like this.

To anyone from Ozoro, has this always been the culture? Did your fathers and mothers speak of the Uruamudhu Aluejo Festival this way? Did men always hunt women in the street or is this something that evolved and mutated into what we are seeing today?

You think you are angry, but you are not angry enough. Feminism was never meant to be palatable. You can't be cute — it's your damn life on the line here.

New words to mute from my TL gele Ichafu Yoruba Ibo Igbo You people are insufferable. Have you see how big the Urhobos tie their headgear? They used to call it canopy, that’s how flamboyant it can be. Some even use more than one in different colors. It’s 2026. Grow up!!!

If you complain, your fellow Nigerians will tell you to up your skills, acquire more skills, blah blah blah. Up my skills when a first degree can’t get me a decent job? A failed system that is making people sound foolish, but they think they sound smart.
