I recommended an Acer laptop to a friend, and it’s been a total nightmare. 💻 Acer Swift Neo (Core Ultra 7 155U, 16+1TB) 💰 ₹55k (after offers) This was a good laptop for the price, and I had recommended it to a few others. Since their experiences were good, I was confident recommending it again. But this was very different. 5 major issues in 5 months. In total, about a month at the service center. They fixed it every time, but such a new device shouldn't need these many repairs. For a PhD student, this has meant missed deadlines and failed meetings. Bought through Flipkart, and the first issue showed up just 10 days after delivery. Here’s the timeline of issues: 1. Display failure - 11/10/25 Display not turning on, but the system was on. Keyboard backlight and power indicators were on. The display was replaced in about a week. 2. Keyboard failure - 25/10/25 Both physical and on-screen keyboards both were unresponsive. Said that it was a "known software issue" and got it fixed in a few days. 3. Display failure, again - 16/12/25 Same issue as #1. Took 2 weeks for repair as the spare wasn't available, and there were shipping delays and holidays. 4. Camera failure - 10/01/26 "Camera not found" error showing. Having had enough, a refund request was sent to the Chief Service Manager. He contacted directly and arranged for an on-site repair. It was a hardware issue from the previous repair and was fixed. 5. Camera & Display (latest) - 25/02/26 Camera error is back. Also got a grey screen after logging in to Windows once. That sorted out on its own, but the camera error persists. At this point, she's done with repairs and just wants a full refund. This laptop has become a constant hurdle to her work. We have asked for a replacement since the third failure, but the service center insisted they could fix it. Clearly, they couldn't. As of now, a refund request has been sent to the Chief Service Manager and is awaiting a response. Customer care merely provided the same email previously given to my friend, which has yielded no results for months. A brand-new laptop shouldn't fail so many times. @Acer @Acer_India, we need a permanent solution in the form of a refund asap. If this isn't sorted out in the coming days, we will be filing a complaint with the Consumer Court. This device has drained all our patience. NB - This isn't about hating on the brand. I know plenty of people with reliable Acer laptops. This is about highlighting the inefficiency of the service center and their reluctance to replace a very faulty unit. It’s a frustrating reminder of how unreliable aftersales support can be in India, no matter the brand.

An AI Summit that sidelines its own builders? • 7 AM queues • 9 AM entry • 12 PM full evacuation • Hours of sanitization • PM visit at 5 PM . Day 1 Ends here Meanwhile — exhibitors, delegates, startup founders left outside. No water. No clarity. Media shows celebration. Ground reality was chaos. If access was limited to select high-value guests, just say it upfront. Don’t mobilize the ecosystem and then displace them. This is not how we build India’s AI future. @abhish18 @GoI_MeitY @PMOIndia #AiSummit #aiImpactSummit

@jassneetsingha It would be interesting to know what happens if someone completes 4 lakh milestone before 2nd March and then reaches 7 lakh milestone after devaluation. It would be great if that fetches the usual 40k points + 22500 points😉

🚨 Amex Platinum Travel milestones are being reshaped. It’s confirmed — Amex said so on chat. Earlier structure: - ₹1.9L → 15,000 points - ₹4L → 25,000 points + Taj voucher New structure (from March 2026): - ₹1.9L → 7,500 points - ₹4L → 10,000 points - ₹7L → 22,500 points + Taj voucher Everyone’s favourite 4L card is now effectively a 7L card. Here’s how the effective return changes: - 4L → 8.23% - 7L → 5.21% (Assuming ₹0.6 per MR and base rewards on all spends.) 🤔 Also watch for changes to MRCC and Gold Charge — they’re paused for a reason.

🚨 BIGGEST SCAM BY @Flipkart EVERYONE MUST READ 🚨 I ordered an ASUS laptop on 22nd Sept during the Big Billion Days with card discount & EMI. It was supposed to be delivered by 26th Sept, but what followed was the worst customer service experience of my life. •📦 Delivery delayed again & again 26th ➝ 27th ➝ 28th ➝ and so on… •🛑 I raised multiple complaints. The only response: “Please wait.” •🤥 I asked if I should cancel & buy elsewhere. They said “NO, 100% it will be delivered.” •⏳ I kept waiting till 5th Oct and suddenly, after the sale ended, they CANCELLED MY ORDER without my consent. 💸 This was an EMI order now refund will take 2-3 weeks. I’ve already paid GST, taxes & processing fees, and my money is stuck for over 1.5 months. 💳 They even deducted my gift card balance and haven’t refunded it fully. 📈 The laptop price is now ₹10,000+ higher. 📚 I needed it urgently for my exam, and Flipkart ruined my plans. This is not a “delay.” This is a calculated scam taking orders during sale, holding money, and then cancelling after the sale ends so customers are forced to pay more. ⛔️ This is unethical, unacceptable, and possibly illegal. @Flipkart @flipkartsupport you owe me answers, compensation, and accountability. To everyone reading this: Think twice before trusting Flipkart. #FlipkartScam #FlipkartFraud #ConsumerRights #FlipkartExposed #ShameOnFlipkart #BigBillionDaysScam

In response to serious and false allegations made by @PrawinGaneshan regarding Bill of Entry No. 3837029 dated 12.08.2025, we categorically place the following facts on record. This importer has an established pattern of making unsubstantiated allegations of corruption and bribery on this platform, only to delete such posts once factual rebuttals are provided by this department. The documented facts are as follows: During examination, goods declared under CTH 90191010 were found to be misclassified and correctly classifiable under CTH 90191020. The importer accepted this reclassification on 01.09.2025, confirming the misclassification. Physical examination revealed eight boxes containing USB charging cables that were completely undeclared in the Bill of Entry, commercial invoice, and packing list - a clear violation of Section 111 of the Customs Act, 1962. The imported goods contain built-in rechargeable batteries, making EPR registration from Central Pollution Control Board mandatory under Rule 13 of Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022. Despite repeated queries on 29.08.2025, during personal hearing on 08.09.2025, and again on 29.09.2025, no EPR certificate was provided. Instead, the importer submitted wrong documentation (E-waste undertaking) and made legally untenable claims of MSME exemption, finished product exemption, and low battery capacity exemption - none of which exist under the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022. The allegations of harassment and non-cooperation are demonstrably false. The importer was granted personal hearing on 08.09.2025 in full accordance with principles of natural justice. Bonding permission under Section 49 of Customs Act was granted on 11.09.2025 specifically to help the importer avoid demurrage charges during adjudication. Postponement was accommodated on 19.09.2025 when the importer requested additional time. At no stage was any payment or bribe demanded - all queries pertained strictly to mandatory statutory compliance under Battery Waste Management Rules 2022, BIS Act 2016, Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules 2011, and Customs Act 1962. Furthermore, during pendency of adjudication proceedings on this Bill of Entry, the same importer filed identical goods through a related entity (wife's company) on 12.09.2025 with the same compliance gaps, demonstrating systematic evasion rather than inadvertent error. During an official meeting on 30.09.2025, the importer attempted to intimidate senior officers through threats of media exposure and self-harm when informed that due process must be followed. This conduct has been formally documented and reported. The importer's social media posts reveal a calculated pattern: allegations of corruption when facing legitimate scrutiny, followed deletion of his thread when facts of violation by importer are placed on record. This selective narrative is a deliberate tactic to pressure officials into releasing cargo without following due process. We categorically state that every action taken was legally mandated, procedurally proper, and based on documented violations discovered during examination. Chennai Customs will not be deterred by false allegations from performing its statutory duties. We remain committed to lawful, transparent, and professional conduct while enforcing regulations designed to protect public health, consumer safety, and environmental standards.@cbic_india

A young man, Atul Subhash, lost his life by suicide. - His greedy wife was receiving ₹40,000 every month as maintenance, - Even though she worked at Accenture and earned money herself. - She wanted ₹2-4 lakhs. - His wife told him to delete himself. - The court judge laughed at him. His wife will never face any punishment. The laws will never change in India.

E Sim Guide for travellers, I hope this will be the only post you have to refer for your International mobile data queries (short term travels/multiple country visit)- I receive a lot of DM's and questions in regards to the E sim, which is the best? What about data, How to install it etc etc, so I thought of writing this post for folks who may have similar questions. Also for the recommendation, I have based the post on my experience in Europe/Middle east/North America and @rahulrbajaj410's experience in South east Asia/Middle east. Q- Which is the best e-sim out there? A- Until my current trip, I always use to suggest Airalo as they are almost a benchmark and rarely fail with their service but I wouldn't lie that they aren't as economical as one would want and with ban in India, people are facing hard time installing it, not every one is that tech savy. I tried Global Yo and Mobimatter (esim marketplace) and here's how it went 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨- I purchased 2 GB for Qatar at $3.44(~₹287) valid for 7 days which also had free calling credits, It worked like a Charm and had 5G all the time, however the calling is actually VOIP and didn't work in Qatar for obvious reasons. I got 10 GB of data in Europe for $8 (~668 inr) plus International call credits for free of 2$. Now in Europe, it mostly had 4G+ and not a 5G but the speed in 4G was around 100 Mbps and hence didn't matter which signal mode I am on, the calls also worked. You have to make the calls from the app and it's allowed worldwide, you get free $2 credit/recharge which approximately translates to 30 minutes of call to Indian number or 104 minutes to Italy or 250 mins to US/CA or 125 minutes to France, which is more than generous. In a way, Global Yo is JIO of International e-sims 😅 ( I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS AS YOUR PREFERRED ESIM) 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 about Global yo is that you can buy data pack for multiple countries and use it from the same sim, so for example you I traveled to Qatar and Europe, I purchased a plan for Qatar and a regional plan for Europe, both were activated before the flights and once I landed in Qatar, my data was working flawlessly and next when I landed in europe, same sim was working for Europe with the European data bucket being used. Extremely useful for parents/not so tech savy person. This isn't a possibility with Airalo or even mobimatter if buying sims of two different operator. 𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫- This is next best to Global yo, it actually shows various esim options available for the country/region and you can buy it based on your preference. To test the reliability, I purchased the cheapest sim with 3GB data in Europe and US for 4.84 USD. Installation was quick and worked smoothly every where, 5G wasn't available all the time specially in the remote areas of europe but 4G+ with min speed of around 50 Mpbs wasn't bad all. Pro tip:- if buying the esim here, pay in USD insted of INR, use no forex card. You will save 4-5%. 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐦 1.) Download the app and select the desired plan and complete the payment. 2.) Once payment is approved, you will get a QR code, simply take a screenshot. 3.) Go to settings>> sim manager and click on add sim where you will get an option to scan the qr and for iphone settings> cellular >> add eSIM. 4.) You can have mutliple sims/esims in your phone however can only use 2 at a time. I leave my primary jio number for calls and sms and let the e-sim be default for data. 5.) You would need an internet connection to install the eSIM and hence do it before the trip. For Global yo install esim and activate through it's app before flight, for Mobimatter it's activated right after installation. Referral's for mutual benefits:- globalyo.onelink.me/oRcE/vlqyybaw apps.apple.com/us/app/mobimat… KENU759097 (code for mobimatter)
