ORP Orzeł - a second home.

💬 My predecessor, Foreign Minister Józef Beck, when he concluded the treaty with Great Britain in 1939, travelled to London and also negotiated a British military loan for Poland. It was not denominated in PLN, but in GBP. I do not know what interest rate it carried. But I do know that he did not seek to use that loan to undermine Poland’s sovereignty, but to preserve it. The problem with that loan was not that it was denominated in GBP or that it carried interest, but that the Spitfires purchased with those funds never reached Poland. | Deputy PM, FM @sikorskiradek at @PLParliament on #SAFE
