BREAKING: Tension erupted in Poonam Cluster Society after a shed built for Bakrid sacrificial goats was demolished by municipal authorities following complaints from Hindu residents in Mira Road, Maharashtra. Members of the Muslim community allegedly tried to rebuild it at night. When opposed by 60% of the Hindu residents of the society, youth from the Muslim side allegedly attacked a Karyakarta with a knife. The Hindu side said that if goats are brought again into the society, they too will bring pigs there. A Maratha family living next to the temporary shed had been complaining of the foul smell along with the other residents, after which the shed was demolished.
