Solana memecoin activity is picking up again but this cycle may look slightly different. During previous runs, most memecoins relied almost entirely on trading volume and short bursts of attention. Once activity slowed, many communities had little reason to remain active. Staking pools introduce a different structure. Instead of tokens sitting idle in wallets, holders can commit them to pools and receive rewards tied to participation. For memecoins, this changes holder behavior. When users are earning from participation, there is less pressure to constantly trade in and out of positions.
