Truly a dark matter of protein structure space. Longest by far, and first assembly in solution and in crystal structure of 310-helices is out in @Nature. nature.com/articles/s4158…

Our recent work: Identified #viralRHIMs in RNA viruses originated from #bats, including SARS-CoV-2. Viral RHIM in SARS-CoV-2 #Nsp13 shows distinct cell death regulation in bat and human cells. Also, associated with Z-RNA sensing and #ZBP1-RIPK3 signaling.
Sanchita Mishra@SanchitaMishr20

Elated to share our work reporting functional #viralRHIMs in bat-RNA viruses and their regulation of ZBP1-RIPK3-associated cell death, now out on @iScience_CP. Huge thanks to @keshu_VRimmCh for guidance,@Disha__dak,#Ayushi for their efforts.@CellPressNews cell.com/iscience/fullt…

In under 4 mins, one of India’s finest young historians, Dr @vikramsampath gives fascinating insights about heroism of rulers who fought and defeated invaders, but whose victories our dubious historians (usual suspects from the “ecosystem”) have chosen to sweep under the carpet for decades. There’s so much of our own history we Indians have to learn! And the journey’s made easier thanks to historians like @vikramsampath.
Anand Ranganathan@ARanganathan72

Nations weaken not because of their past, but rather by how they are taught it. Nothing exemplifies it more than this stunning exposition by @vikramsampath. Our ancestors fought the invaders for half a millennia, only for us to forget them and remember instead the invaders.
