All this nonsense that gets posted on Dubai, just pull your head out of the sand 1: what rich people want most is security and safety. For themselves and their families. They want that above anything else 2: they are mobile, thanks to their money, and they will use this mobility to ensure safety 3: out of 8 good friends that live(d) there, 6 left, and 5 are not going back. Where are they going? 3 to Switserland, 1 to el Salvaldor, 1 back home to Portugal. Obviously places with more nature and resources and further away from conflict zones are more attractive, especially if it is not raining drones and missiles 4: for many this has been an eye-opener and they will act accordingly. Some are asking me about eco-farms now as well, they get my point now 5: many rich cities in the Middle-east will be fine long term, this will be forgotten in time, but this bullsh*t on X that this war will not have an effect is just nonsense, it will have a profound effect psychologically, especially on the rich that want safety and security

Just walked into a coffee shop in Del Valle, CDMX to get some work done with my co-founder. I sit down, order a cold latte (80 pesos), and the waiter asks if we’re planning to eat. I say: not for now, maybe later. He then tells us that to use the coworking space (completely empty), there’s a minimum consumption of 250 pesos per hour, per person. So, we left. Is it just us, or does that sound like pretty bad business practice? 🤔
