For the uninitiated, Qatar’s state religion is Islam and then there are 8 specific Christian denominations that are registered and allowed to legally operate in the country. Rest including Hinduism can only be practiced informally.
Monica Verma@TrulyMonica

Al Jazeera is state-owned mouthpiece of Qatar. In Qatar forget praying in public, Hindus aren’t even recognised as a “legal religion” under their law. Yet look how they are spreading lies to malign India’s image. That’s the power of paid PR 🙃

Nikki Bhati's was not a civil case between her father and her inlaws. We are not a blood-money society, where the father can just submit an affidavit to close a criminal investigation into her death. Only the Police, which is doing the criminal investigation can reach a conslusion, with evidence, of no foul play and only then the case can be closed Nikki Bhati's father and in-laws, with the help of caste/community members, have reached a settlement that involves transferring property to Nikki and Vipin's child and financial assistance to Nikki's family!

Bengaluru's garbage contractors haven't been paid since January. Diesel prices up. Minimum wages hiked 60%. Payment rates frozen. As a result, sanitation workers quitting. Collections becoming irregular. City on the edge of a waste shutdown. This is what the 'small contractor + civic body' model looks like in practice.Chronically underpaid, financially unviable, one diesel hike away from collapse. No long-term contracts. No capex roadmap. Just survival mode. A ₹39,000 crore scaled operator with financial accountability, fixed SLAs and a long-term horizon is a good model
Prasanna Viswanathan tweet media
Prasanna Viswanathan@prasannavishy

₹39,000 crore privatised solid waste management contract for Bengaluru is actually a right idea. A city of 15-17 million needs industrial-scale solutions, not ward-level jugaad. The city is drowning in its own garbage and the continued fetish for decentralised, community-led, philosophically elegant waste solutions has run its course. It sounds beautiful in a TEDx talk. It has manifestly failed at scale. The scale of the problem is staggering. Bengaluru generates 5,200 tonnes of waste every single day. Only 1,800 tonnes gets scientifically processed. The rest ends up in landfills or dumped in the street corner. May be some of the Finance department's red flags deserve serious attention but overall objective is good given Bengaluru has been reduced to a garbage-strewn embarrassment that its own residents are ashamed of.

🚩Aditya Dhar was reportedly led to believe that he would write and direct Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. He worked hard on the project, but was later removed by the makers and powerful #Bollywoodiyans behind the scenes. Farhan was involved in the movie more than an actor. 🚩For years, Bollywood elites used PR, influence, and underworld-linked networks to shape narratives and fool audiences. Javed, Farhan, the Khans and many others projected invaders as more humane than Hindus, normalised anti-Hindu narratives, and even created sympathy for Tërr0rïštš by portraying them as victims with “reasons” to pick up arms. 🚩After signing Ranveer Singh for Don 3 in 2023, Farhan still delayed production while searching for a bigger star to replace him. Ranveer stayed silent throughout. 🚩Then Dhurandhar happened, and Ranveer emerged as one of the most loved and talked-about stars globally. 🚩Farhan suddenly wanted to cash in on Ranveer’s popularity and asked for dates again, but Ranveer reportedly refused. That shocked the entire lobby. 🚩The old narrative glorifying Pakistan, whitewashing extremism, mocking Hïndü traditions, and pushing anti-Hïndü stereotypes now started collapsing. #Dhurandhar exposed Pakistan, ISI, and Dawood-linked networks through an Indian film narrative. 🚩Unable to digest Ranveer’s rise and the success of Dhurandhar, the same Bollywood- #Urduwood ecosystem allegedly moved to sideline him using industry connections. But there’s a backlash from ppl now who understand their Modus Operandi.

I refuse to believe that video of the Pune Porsche father dancing with note garlands is old. Bullshit. They know they screwed up big time after bail and are scrambling hard to control the damage by spinning it as a 2023 anniversary clip. Paid influencers and media are pushing the narrative hard. They think they own justice. Public anger is fully justified.

The young boy coming out of jail with a crying sister beside him is Shivam Singh son of BJP leader Rakesh Singh He has been released from jail after spending nearly six months behind bars in fake cases filed by TMC goons. The West Bengal government argued in the High Court that the family members were "trouble mongers" and "history-sheeters" with dozens of pending cases. The judge who denied his bail and the entire ecosytem behind this needs to be brought to the table !!

This is how Christians started eradicating the pagan religion in Europe. First regulate numbers for darshan. Then squeeze the numbers. Make it harder and harder for people to Visit, till people give up and convert.

The #HRCE Department (#TVKVijay) has decided to implement an online ticket booking and time slot system, at major temples under its administration, including Tiruchendur Murugan Temple, Palani Dhandayuthapani Temple, Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple, Srirangam Ranganathar Temple, Tiruttani Murugan Temple, and Tiruvannamalai Arunachaleswarar Temple, with the aim of reducing crowd congestion and streamlining darshan for devotees. This could help improve crowd management during peak days and festival seasons. It may also enhance safety and basic facilities, while making it easier for devotees travelling from other districts or states to plan their visits. While implementing the online booking and time slot system, I kindly request the department to also retain free walk in darshan, support for senior citizens, and limited online booking slots to ensure reduced crowding without making temple access difficult for devotees. @tnhrcedept @RameshOffcl

#WATCH | Delhi | Nandan Singh Negi, President of the Staff Welfare Association at the Delhi Gymkhana Club says, "Our case is pending before the High Court. We have complete faith in the High Court that our workers will receive justice. This is a matter concerning the livelihoods of at least 600 to 700 workers...Some have taken housing loans; how will they repay them? It was for these reasons that we approached the Honorable High Court, and we respect the Court's authority...We remain hopeful that the High Court will grant us due justice and dignity, and that our livelihoods will remain intact"

In April 2026, when the CBSE announced that three languages for Class VI students shall be made compulsory and 2 of the three languages shall be native to India, I was one amongst many who welcomed this decision that allows Children to learn multiple languages from a young age, which would help them to broaden their understanding of India’s diverse literary landscape. In the very same notification released in April 2026, it was explicitly mentioned that the Third language for Class IX children studying in CBSE schools will be made compulsory only from the Academic year 2029-30, which is 3 years from now. However, on 15th May 2026, the CBSE sent a notification to all affiliated schools introducing the third compulsory language for Class IX students from this academic year, rolling back its previous commitment to make it compulsory only from the academic year 2029-30. This has come as a shock to many parents, especially those from TN, as their Children have already selected a language of choice in Class VI, and now the revised notification mandates that Class IX students learn 3 languages, 2 of which are native to India, with effect from 1st July 2026. Expecting a Class IX student to learn a new language in a short time will only pressurise children and affect their overall learning outcomes. I request the Ministry of Education to roll back this notification immediately and to stick to the previous commitment to introduce the learning of 3 languages, of which 2 shall be native Indian languages, for Class IX, from the academic year 2029-30.

It has become Thiru @mkstalin avl’s habit to complain about something that is not even remotely close to the Central Government's intentions. The CBSE in the secondary school curriculum (Part-1), released for the academic year 2026-27, states that three-language education shall be made compulsory from Grade 6 in the academic year 2026-27. And it is explicitly stated that two of these three languages must be native to India. To clarify the languages to be offered, it is mentioned that all scheduled languages listed in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India are being offered, in addition to other Indian regional languages. Where is the question of the imposition of Hindi in this? Last year, the CBSE placed particular emphasis on using the mother tongue or home language as the medium of instruction during the Foundational and Preparatory Stages of schooling. Thiru @mkstalin avl should check with his daughter, who runs a CBSE school, whether she has begun imparting education in Tamil as the medium of instruction to students in the foundational stage at her school. He could also simultaneously check with his Ministers and key DMK functionaries who run CBSE schools across Tamil Nadu. Thiru @mkstalin, one almost misses the days when your misguided narratives required at least some effort to unravel. Now, they seem to collapse under the lightest scrutiny.
