Some more explanation with @figmaweave to figure out how to incorporate it into my 3D character pipeline. I don't wanna take away the fun from my personal projects, so still sculpting in @maxonzbrush  but final rendering can be cut short with a lot of options to choose from.

@magiclanternco @Weavy_ai Yeah that's true. I see AI as a lasso tool on steroids. And also it can help from getting from A to Z a lot faster. You are still in the driver seat, but you don't have to drive to different destinations, you can fly their simultaneously.

@digi_son @Weavy_ai That distinction matters. Using a tool to explore faster is a fundamentally different creative act than using it to skip the process. The work still starts with your vision — the AI just expands what you can test.

Experimenting with @Weavy_ai for lighting on the old man ZBrush sculpt.. Using it less as a solution, more as a way to explore possibilities faster. Not replacing the process… just speeding up the exploration. I'll post some workflow images later, but for now...

I don’t fully know what I’m doing here. But something came back to life. After a long time, I feel that pull towards art again, not for work, just for me. Life got busy (good kind), and I let it sit in the background. Maybe X becomes my diary. For now, I’m just showing up again.

decided to join Deryck Pellegrini's little SketchClub... this week's theme was 'bird' and I just couldn't resist a doodle... idea is good for sketchbook, bad for portfolio.... Sculpted in #Zbrush, I threw him into #marmoset and made him glow purple

Would you say that the fancy cars being built nowadays with the help of machines are any less work of pure imagination and creativity. It's just a tool. You direct it how you want. You will be able to use it however you please.

@digi_son @BadMuthaHubbard @IsThisA3DModel Machines didn't make creative decisions for us. Gen AI does. There are a million great uses for neural networks which we've been working on for decades. Shating out finished art, music, video isn't one of them.

AI guys are so sensitive that stating basic facts about how GenAI works makes them very upset 😅

@BadMuthaHubbard @IsThisA3DModel weird comparison, but ok. During the industrial revolution people protested machines replacing workers. And they were right to be angry. But the machines didn’t go away. Society had to adapt, regulate, and redefine roles. That’s where we are with AI.

@digi_son @IsThisA3DModel Pedophilia is also happening, but we should all complain about it and keep calling it out. The simple fact that you can't stop something from happening is not an argument for accepting it.

someone recently said to me.. “AI will never replace storyboard artists.” It reminded me of something I used to believe too. That AI would never be able to generate clean topology for 3D models. Turns out… it’s already getting surprisingly good at it. Not scary. Just fascinating to wrap your head around.
