Taking the plunge with regard to streaming my tunes. Here's a sampler of the first official single 'And when you go (reprise)'. The brief was Nick Drake's Northern Sky meets This Mortal Coil's Song to the siren, so no pressure then. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/de…

@jakerattlesnk Muslims are 6% of the population and tend to choose Mohamed or its variants as one of the names of their male babies. This skews this table. A similar result may happen if practicing Christians used Jesus as one of their babies' names.

The most common name for a new born boy in England is Muhammad. That's the end of a civilisation happening in front of our face.

Reform imbecile insisting that his party’s leaflets never claimed they’d cut council tax, despite actual leaflets issued by Reform being read out to him live on air. This is how Brexit happened, these people are entirely immune to any form of basic fact.

Trump, MAGA, Farage, Reform and GB News hate the UK and want us to believe the UK is a failing state compared to the USA. The facts disagree. On practically every measure of quality of life, health, safety, education, environment, the UK would rank as the best state in America. The land of the "free " (where people get yanked off the street by masked men) is also the land of half a million medical bankruptcies a year and the world’s largest prison population. This is the reality.

If the UK joined the US as the 51st state. We would be the poorest state in the entire union. Mississippi which is portrayed at swamp dwelling hillbillies in majority of international media is above us. I don’t think people grasp how far we’ve fallen in real terms when it comes to GDP per capita. We’ve seen no growth for almost an entire generations. We’ve seen our productivity decrease and our tax increases. The average person on the UK, on £50,000 is less well off than your average Mississippi swamp dweller.

We’ve reached a point where we never know if he’s lying or telling the truth. We have to rely on the leadership of other countries to tell us what’s actually happening. It’s exhausting.

@afneil Yes indeed, but the media and political establishment will instinctively reject copying anything European and push us towards a hideous US style system.

This is the reason why we can never reform healthcare in the UK — or even have a sensible debate about it. The moment anyone suggests alternative/additional ways of funding health Labour rushes out privatisation smears and claims US private health insurance is being proposed. Labour has been doing it for decades. It explains why the NHS is effectively beyond reform. The two worst health systems in the rich world are in America and the UK. It’s why nobody has ever copied them. It would be mad to go from ours to theirs (or vice versa). But Europe is awash with health systems that can call on several sources of funds, including many with compulsory public health insurance schemes. They have better health outcomes than the NHS. They are free at the point of use (like the NHS). Most of them are better funded. But Labour puts them out of bounds, refuses even to discuss or consider. So patient care suffers. NHS struggles on. Labour is always telling us we need to get closer to Europe. It’s where we belong. But not when it comes to health, where it insists no lessons can be learned. Pretty pathetic, really.
The Labour Party@UKLabour

Nigel Farage's plan to move to an insurance-based healthcare system would leave you to pick up the bill.

@Rod__Mason These companies represent 13% of UK GDP. Brexit remains a huge disappointment

@dineshfernando No; the whole point is Labour wants to make the 92% of UK companies that don’t export to the EU at all comply with current and future EU rules over how they must conduct their business in the UK. It’s not worth it, to make life a bit easier for the 8%; most EU trade is imports.

Only 8% of UK businesses export to the EU. So Labour wants 100% of UK businesses to follow EU rules, despite our Brexit vote? 🇬🇧

@Rod__Mason Then their businesses will be largely unaffected by closer ties to or membership of the EU. The UK business eco system benefits as a whole through those 8% that you dismiss so readily succeeding.

@dineshfernando It does, but not as much as the combined millions of UK businesses that don’t export to the EU at all.
