@owenjonesjourno In my youth I foolishly believed that socialism could end poverty and create an equal society, life experience showed me how stupid this supposition was. Don't always judge people on the foibles of youth

Nigel Farage has been accused by multiple people he grew up with of extreme antisemitic comments and behaviour. Yet he's allowed to present himself as a champion of Jewish people. Meanwhile, our only Jewish leader, Zack Polanski, is smeared - because he opposes genocide.
Paul Brand@PaulBrandITV

Nigel Farage is in Golders Green this morning, where he is claiming that sources have told him IRGC operatives have crossed the channel in recent weeks. He brushes off claims about his past alleged comments about Jewish people and says community can trust him to keep them safe.

So let me get this straight... London bombings (7/7): Four Muslims carried out suicide bombings on Underground trains and a bus, killing 52 and injuring over 700. London bombings (21 July 2005): Four Muslims attempted suicide bombings on London transport; devices failed, no fatalities. Glasgow Airport attack: Muslims drove a burning jeep into the airport terminal; one attacker died later. Westminster attack: Muslim Khalid Masood drove into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing 5. Murder of Lee Rigby: Two Muslims ran over and hacked British soldier Lee Rigby to death in Woolwich. Manchester Arena bombing: Muslim Salman Abedi detonated a bomb at an Ariana Grande concert, killing 22. London Bridge attack: Three Muslims drove into pedestrians then stabbed in Borough Market, killing 8. Parsons Green bombing: Muslim Ahmed Hassan detonated a partial bomb on a District line train, injuring 30. Reading stabbings: Muslim Libyan refugee killed 3 in a park stabbing attack. Liverpool Women's Hospital bombing: A Muslim detonated a taxi bomb outside the hospital, killing himself. Golders Green stabbings: A Muslim stabbed two Jewish men in north London; treated as terrorism. Despite these events, the UK Labour government calls native Britons racist for noticing an emerging pattern and states that we need to spend taxpayer Pounds on safety for Muslims with a new 'blasphemy' law. Can somebody please explain how we got to this point?

@Heccles94 How’s your history? Not strong it seems. The land in which St George was born was not Turkey unless he had a Time Machine. Please check little details so you don’t look foolish.

Good Morning Britain
A Morrisons store manager says his life has been completely 'devastated' after he was sacked for confronting a repeated shoplifter.  Sean Egan - who had worked in the Aldridge Morrisons in the West Midlands for 29 years - was escorting the shoplifter out of the store when the thief turned aggressive.

Ok someone explain to me like I’m 5yr how an ex-pat is different from a migrant? You don’t learn the language, you don’t live by the culture, you don’t pay taxes… at least migrants want to contribute to our society. Get me?

£32,000 a year. Graduate job. What it actually comes to: Gross: £2,667 a month. Income tax: £324 National insurance: £225 Student loan Plan 2: £35 Pension (4% auto-enrol): £107 Take home: £1,976. Rent in any UK city worth living in: £1,200. Council tax, gas, electric, water, internet: £420. Train or petrol to get to work: £250. Bills alone eat £1,870 of it. Leaves you £106 a month for food, clothes, socialising and any kind of life. This is what a 'good graduate job' looks like in 2026 after 3 years at uni and £50K of student debt. How did we let them sell this to us?

Why is it so controversial to say that the government shouldn’t pay for pensioners to buy presents and go on holidays? If a family on UC spent some of it on holidays and presents all of these right-leaning boomers would be calling them scroungers or worse!!

Netherlands just announced a new 120% wealth tax It will apply to the ultra-rich who earn above €150k per year So if you make €200k, you pay €60k on the €50k above the threshold Dutch officials explained it is to "discourage wealth hoarding behaviour" So beautifuly said Finally someone in Europe has the moral spine to put an end this selfish accumulation of wealth No human being should make over €150k a year It is a vulgar and borderline pornographic amount I hope more EU countries will adopt this progressive legislation This is why Europe is, and always will be, light years ahead of America

@Personoftalent There’s virtually no correlation between what you pay in NI and what you get in state pension You could pay nothing and still get a full state pension and you could pay £10,000s and get no state pension at all

What is it about state pensions that makes even the most ardent anti socialists, suddenly seem very socialist? Is it just the misunderstanding that state pension is a benefit, and not a savings plan?

I don’t believe there’s a single British MP who’d defend this level of destruction if it was British troops doing it but for some reason they defend it when it’s the Israeli’s doing it. The influence of the Israel lobby must be shattered alongside all the other foreign lobbies.

Older generations say “we all struggled in our 20s.” No, you didn’t. You didn’t pay $2,200 for rent and $7 for eggs. You didn’t graduate into $50K student debt and $0 job security. Gen Z isn’t dramatic. They’re drowning.

Every serious person knows the triple lock is impossible to sustain and setting us on course for a nearly £200bn a year bill. And yet any suggestion of reality to the P&O cruise brigade unleashed entitled fury. Someone needs to stand up to these retirement communists.
rt hon Sir Desmond Swayne TD MP@DesmondSwayne

If, like me, you were born in 1956, you’ll receive almost £300,000 more in benefits than you’ll pay in taxes in your lifetime State Pensions make up a huge chunk of that Long term, we simply can’t afford to sustain the Triple Lock’s generosity Blog: desmondswaynemp.com/ds-blog/1956/?…

@benjaminbutter It's the state employees pension scheme that is unsustainable. Perhaps the full state pension should require more than 40 years Ni contribution, most boomers have paid 50 years contribution and the rate of return on the state pension is low compared to my Local gov pension
