@ArchLuminous @RambleMan51 I do believe I saw a statistic that 49% of Christian women are ok with dating someone outside their faith. Furthermore, the study's participates mentioned that unbelievers pursue them more than believers.

@RambleMan51 You were going to church despite not being Christian to look for dating opportunities and you're surprised that actual Christians don't want you and their families protect them from you. You idiot. 😂🤣

I’ve been to church many times despite not being a Christian, here’s my take -Most Churches are 100% old people and children under 12. -Girls at Church are surrounded by family -Their family is there to keep YOU away -You, the single man, will be treated similarly to a coyote
Arthur MacWaters@ArthurMacwaters

They don't want you to know this but you can literally > go to church > sit next to a beautiful girl > say hello > ask her to dinner > tell her you love her after 3 weeks > ask her to marry you after 11 months And this beautiful creature will literally live with you in your house and sleep in your bed Absolutely insane life hack. Total glitch in the matrix, surprised they haven't patched this exploit

@smashbaals its an odd tension indeed. Historically, we have seen what happens when the state and Church merge. However, we know that politics and policy are rooted in some form of foundational virtue ethic, which is ultimately downstream of theology for both theist and atheist.

@cavalier973 Whether Churches accept it or not does not necessarily make it false. This would just be band-wagoning.

Dispensationalism is not actually popular. Most churches reject it, because taking verses out of context is more fun.

@IndianLuke @BriannaWu Dispensationalism does not prescribe Zionism. It makes a distinction between the Church and Israel derived from a literal historical-grammatical hermeneutic.

I’m a democrat. Here is the truth for any democrat running for office. If you don’t support Israel, I don’t need to hear another word from you. Because your moral judgment is so fundamentally flawed, you will come to bad conclusions about healthcare, foreign policy and civil rights. It’s the world’s easiest call. Do you decide with terrorists or the victims of terrorism.

Luk 1:6 Zachariah and Elizabeth were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord. That isn't a claim they were "sinless." It is a claim they were obedient and forgiven. Something we are all capable of being.

@MickMilee The term "evangelical" has morphed into a vague definition. It is now synonymous with culture, politics, race, and even sexual identification. The term, as @CoryMMarsh2 coined, is jello-like. With that, I am not surprised to see these statistics.

57% of evangelicals believe most people are good by nature. That directly contradicts the Bible. 56% believe God accepts the worship of ALL religions. That directly contradicts Christianity. 43% don't believe Jesus is God. That directly contradicts the entire point. These are people who call themselves Christians. You don't have a faith problem in the church. You have a definition problem.

@DiscipleFidei Interesting because we study it two out of every four years as a church. Also our leaders quote passages from it twice a year in General Conference. And it isn’t Mormon’s church. It is the Church of Jesus Christ. Bless your heart.

This question often arises, more so in the evangelical camp. There are a couple reasons we should avoid sin. First, sin has natural consequences. The wages of sin is death according to Paul's letter to the Romans. In other words, sin has wages attached to it. Now it is true that the truly regenerate has had their wages paid in full at the Cross. However, there are real consequences in this life. If you commit the crime, then you will do the time. Second, sin mares our witness for Christ. We cannot fully represent the joy of the Lord when we ourselves are A) suffering the consequences of our sin, and B) behaving as if the power of the Gospel has no effect on us. Thirdly, while it is true that a true regenerate believer can never be separated from Christ, sin does hinder our relationship with God. Be it ego when we refuse to repent and cannot honestly surrender. Be it shame where we, like Adam, hide from God. I am sure there are more reasons, but these should be adequent enough to motivate the regenerate to run from sin.
The Vine@Thevine_ntwk

How do you answer this as a Christian: If God's grace is enough for our sins, both past, present and future, then why are we required to live a righteous life?

@Exodus15_11 I would argue that Dispensationalism and Reformed theology go hand in hand. Both elevate the sovereignty of God. In fact, a return to a literal historical-grammatical hermenutic of Scripture is what birthed the Reformation.

Reformed Theology Reformed Theology will cloud many people's ability to understand the correct eschatological view of God's plan which is Jew-centric, not Church-centric. Those who roll their eyes at that statement reveal a form of narcigesis, thinking that the Scriptures are about them and the Church, whereas it's about God's coming reign which is the Millennial-Davidic Kingdom. "Christianized nations" are not what the Scripture foretells as the Son of God is Jesus the Jewish Messiah, and He will return to begin His Kingdom when He offers the Kingdom to a repentant Jew. This time, they will receive Him as Messiah, Savior, and He will reign at Jerusalem as King. The nations will be under His global rule, headquartered at Jerusalem by a spiritually reborn Israel who will operate as the King's spiritual head of the nations. Again, the above irks those of Covenant Theology, a man-made fabrication which will be exposed as fraudulent at the Second Coming.

Church Christians will treat their family like garbage and make a showy display of treating strangers with compassion. They are self righteous just like the Pharisees. This is why the return of Christ will destroy churches and remove all authority from elders, pastors and priests.

Dispensationalism does not, nor has it ever, placed any faith in a "resurgence of national Israel." It does, however, provide a distinction between the Church and Israel derived from a literal historical-grammatical hermeneutic. Zionism is a cultural fad, and not a prescription of Dispensationalism.

@Matt070173 They've receives persecution in many ages. Not sure what this has to do with it. Dispensationalism is not a teaching about end times; rather it teaches that you hope in the resurgence of national Israel, which is another gospel.

I am a newcomer to Progressive Dispensationalism (the MacArthur type, not the Ryrie type). I am one of those rare birds who grew up with amillennial, historicist views of Revelation (LCMS and 1689 Reformed Baptist) and switched the other way. I always was skeptical of dispensational eschatology because I never in my own life saw widespread animosity toward people of ethnic Jewish heritage, even those who became Christians. But in the last couple of years, at least online, I have definitely seen how the dispensational view of the Great Tribulation could happen and it has reinforced my view that such a persecution of them is not only possible, but probable, as part of the eschaton.

@eth39232 @Lumichaoss Yeah but you guys are all over the place with the Church's birth. Some say Acts 9 while others say Acts 28. Acts 2 provides the clearest, and more objective, indication with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Women who support female preachers will argue that God used a donkey to speak. God never forbid donkeys from teaching and speaking in the churches. He forbids women from doing this. Besides, the donkey wasn’t in a church. Every argument for female preachers fails when measured by Scripture.
