This movie does end with a gut punch and has some dumb politics in it. But it’s also refreshingly naive for much of it - just a stupid and funny depiction of young people in 1982 enjoying themselves, chasing girls, living like teenagers should live:

Just watched The Last American Virgin. I was genuinely awestruck by how cruel of a film this is. Impressive in showcasing the pathetic faults of young men and women so acutely for 1982. Ultimate red pill movie.

Totally true. I also expected to spend much more time talking about, and dealing with, quicksand.

Not one incident, the pattern: - Softer penalties - Higher foul threshold before their players get booked - Extra stoppage time when they’re chasing a goal - VAR spending longer looking for reasons to disallow goals against them
