Former Town Supervisor. Terrible golfer. Decent husband. A hot dog is not a sandwich. Personal account not reflective of employer.

I’ve found a glitch in the matrix—quite frequently of late I will hear or think a not-so-common word or phrase and then immediately see it in whatever I am reading, like as the first word. I’m sure it’s happened before in my life but it’s happened almost daily this past week.

@StevenTDennis So let’s let the executive break the law rather than pass a bipartisan agreement. Got it.

Thing is Republicans have blocked rifle shot legislation by Democrats to pay TSA agents for weeks. Was becoming untenable with Rs like Kennedy wanting to accept the offer…

“The Market” is just a guy staring a two screens. One has Truth Social. The other is Anthropic's blog In front of him are 5 buttons that say: Software, Semis, European Defense, Energy, and Gold. Trump or Anthropic post and he hits a button to make those stocks move +5% or -5%

@JamesSurowiecki You can hear someone has told him that as a net exporter of oil, we never have to buy anything coming out of there, and then the conversation ends.

If you do the math, this means that practically every non-MAGA American disapproves of Trump's performance, and almost all of them disapprove of the war in Iran.

@danpfeiffer @politico What’s to be baffled about? He’s spooked by gas prices and is trying to will himself out of all of this, like he has his entire life.

From @politico: “Several people close to the White House said they were baffled by the president’s remarks.”

NEWS from Oval - Trump told us: "We've won this. This war has been won." He said Iran gave the US an oil- and gas-related “gift" that showed him "we're dealing with the right people.” It's "related to the flow, to the Strait," he told me. "It was a very significant prize, and they gave it to us, and they said they were going to give it," he told @edokeefe. Trump: "We have, really, regime change. You know, this is a change in the regime. Because the leaders are all very different than the ones that we started off with, that created all those problems." Trump said @VP Vance, @SecRubio, @JaredKushner and @SEPeaceMissions Steve Witkoff currently doing negotiations with Iran. Hegseth told us: "We see ourselves as part of this negotiation as well. We negotiate with bombs." At that, Trump said two people were "quite disappointed" when the president said the conflict could be settled soon: Pete Hegseth and Dan Caine.

Just as a general observation, deals are rarely cut on Tuesdays. Wednesday nights are more common, and there’s that Harry Reid saying: “Magic happens on Thursday nights”

Maybe don’t make a product that turns your kids into monsters and turns off parents from being willing to spend any money on it?

Epic Games is laying off 1,000 employees amid a "downturn in Fortnite engagement." The company is undergoing $500 million in cost saving efforts. wp.me/pc8uak-1lH3Bj "Today we’re laying off over 1000 Epic employees. I'm sorry we're here again. The downturn in Fortnite engagement that started in 2025 means we're spending significantly more than we're making, and we have to make major cuts to keep the company funded. This layoff, together with over $500 million of identified cost savings in contracting, marketing, and closing some open roles puts us in a more stable place," writes CEO Tim Sweeney.

This is a weird thing for Trump and his cronies to brag about. If Trump has a 100% approval rating with MAGA Republicans (who are 30% of the electorate) that means his approval rating with everyone else is around 17%. Almost all non-MAGA Americans despise the job he's doing.
Aaron Rupar@atrupar

BRENNAN: 60% of Americans disapprove of the US taking military action against Iran. 57% think the conflict is going badly. How do you tell the American people they're wrong? MIKE WALTZ: Well, I could quote a whole slew of polls that show, for example, self-described MAGA Republicans give the president a 100% approval rating

@EsotericCD Re-looking at that map the detour itself isn’t that weird. But driving from one to the other is (in my case I was visiting the CT Capitol and then a friend in the City).

@EsotericCD Yeah, I saw it on some show once. Meriden isn’t really near anywhere (I made a weird detour from Hartford to NYC for the stop). The meat was fine, but the cheese consistency was very odd. And it’s a hole in the wall place.

@HeerJeet Someone’s going to convince him that since the US is a net exporter we can just stop buying anyone’s oil and also stop selling to anyone.
