Vance: I would say Obama, why in the world, of it's the same thing, why is it that the gulf Arabs hated your deal and they love our deal? He should acknowledge that the people who are closest to this, they love the Trump deal. They hate the Obama deal. And that is maybe the biggest endorsement of this plan.

@FunLovingIan Unpopular opinion...Joe Biden was handed an unstable economy as a result of the pandemic in which inflation was going to occur no matter what. Misleading to say Biden caused the inflation crises when the foundation was laid under the Trump administration via Covid.

The Biden administration caused the inflation crisis that has made life unaffordable. Now all they can say is pure projection. Truthfulness is not a virtue of the Biden’s.

Jill Biden says that Trump RUINED her husband's legacy! 🧐 👀👀👀 She says..👇👇👇 "Joe handed Trump a strong economy, and he’s squandering it with policies that drive up costs.”🙄🙄🙄 What's your response to this?

@shipwreckedcrew Nothing prevented them from doing same thing when Trump withdrew from the deal. They could have immediately done so once the deal was no longer in place and that was in 2018.

@mcuban @HeathVeuleman @costplusdrugs Let's do away with hospital monopolies. When a hospital controls 99% of the HC system in a particular area, they can charge whatever they want cause the other option is traveling out of county most times

Grocery stores have easily identifiable pricing, where everyone gets the same piece. Only a few companies in HC publish a price (@costplusdrugs )that is available to everyone. What percentage of hospitals do you think have different prices for different types of customers ? Ideology is not a strategy.

I’m going to say, for the billionth time, that SNAP is a viable model for Medicaid. You know it’s a good model when hospitals and payers are against it. Let the consumer control the capital - and you’ll have something wonks like to call “market discovery.” Assuming consumers spent 3X more on primary care, we would still see exponential savings to the program. In fact, the greater primary care utilization the lesser the rest of the continuum used. By proper capital allocation, you enhance the two primary members of the transaction - the buyer and the seller. By increasing agency, I’ve increased accountability. And because of that new accountability - my engagement increases. What happens next? My utilization of expensive services decreases. Sounds like fancy consultanty word slop? Well - it works. My lab is in the real world. I don’t need to speculate - I can show you the data. And before I get flooded with a bunch of bots - I will stipulate that this would be a carve out (probably via an 1115 waiver) that would have a relatively narrow service array mainly relative to primary care and ambulatory services (including imaging and even daycare). And yes SNAP has had a lot of waste, fraud, and abuse - but nothing to the scale of managed Medicaid. This model has greater utility because it is consumer-centered and moored to the fundamental transaction. It also allows for at least one less intermediary which will eliminate superfluous cost.

@mcuban @PeterDiamandis Agreed...the better option is in today's society, all college general classes should be taken in HS and the ONLY classes we should take are those classes for the particular major. Should not be taking college algebra at a university or biology, chemistry, and such.

Come on. No question pricing is ridiculous and extortionary. But, an LLM can't teach you the people and life skills that you gain in college. It can help with what you can learn, but it can't teach you how to learn. It can't teach you to stand up in front of a class and make a presentation, to show some semblance of responsibility and it can't hold you accountable for anything. AI should definitely be part of every college experience. It can ampllify it in new and unique ways. But, it won't ever hold your legs in a keg stand

Hot take: Universities charge $300,000 for a degree that teaches you skills any LLM can do for free. At some point we need to have an honest conversation about whether higher education is the greatest individuals misallocation of capital in recent history.

@Rave_Speed I have a young lady which we practiced LJ maybe three times and she jumped 5.43. So, I am thinking she can do great things in the LJ with an actual LJ coach. In the meantime she will be doing Olympic lifts with our WL coach over summer 2x per week and plyos.

A noticeable evolution is taking place in Florida’s youth track and field landscape. While states like Texas have long embraced specialized event coaching, Florida is steadily moving in the same direction. More athletes and families are shifting away from the traditional track club model and seeking private coaches who provide event-specific instruction and individualized development. The focus is no longer just on being part of a team—it’s on maximizing an athlete’s potential through specialized training tailored to their unique strengths and goals. As a result, it is becoming increasingly common for athletes to work with multiple coaches, each bringing expertise in a specific discipline such as sprints, hurdles, jumps, throws, or distance events. This individualized approach allows athletes to receive targeted technical instruction and a level of attention that can be difficult to achieve in larger group settings.

My November-December speed work morphed into “tryouts” for 3 weeks in January. My sprint group needed to be limited to ~35 boys so that I could coach them (not just “manage” them). I had no “standards” for making the team. I kept every kid who could help the team or would so in the future. 19 mph speed at Plainfield North as a freshman would often not make the cut. Anyone cut could move to distance.

Is 20MPH really that fast? I’m convinced more and more that our perception of what sounds fast often gets in the way of logically breaking down what fast really is 20MPH sounds fast. It is also a difference maker in team sports It’ll get roughly a 4.9-5.0s 40yd dash However, many colleges won’t offer a skill or big skill player who isn’t at a 4.7 or faster. Meaning, the majority of football recruiting classes are likely capable of eclipsing 21-22MPH on a regular basis. 11.00s 100m requires ~23MPH. 11.00 to 10.90s MIGHT get you into your state final. It might also get you college attention for track. But… some recruiting standards won’t even let you walk on if you’re not 10.7 and under. Meaning, to get an opportunity at the collegiate level as a male sprinter, you will need to be capable of ~23-24MPH+ or your track career is over at 17-19 years old. All of this to illustrate — 20MPH is a nice round number that will help to separate from most teammates, local, and state competitors in team sports. It’s a great goal to shoot for to improve your ability to make an impact for your team and earn a starting spot on varsity in a meaningful role. It will probably get you onto your varsity track team and possibly onto some relays. If you want to be recruited for team sport, 21MPH might be a better goal to shoot for along with 4.7 or faster. If you want to sprint in college, a 20MPH ceiling simply doesn’t get the job done. Sub 11.00s opens the door at ~23MPH. 20MPH is RELATIVELY fast compared to most male HS peers… but it isn’t very fast in the grand scheme of varsity high performers.

@pntrack @BrendanThompsn Is that at first practice or after off-season training concerning meeting that requirement? I have been considering implementing standards or continuing down the path of developmental athletes participate during weekday meets and not weekend.

@BrendanThompsn I had three freshmen last year who couldn’t hit 20 mph and looking back, they shouldn’t have made the my sprint team. If you can’t hit 20, kids are better served as distance runners.

@CoachDJBrock Ikr. When my athletes say they drink a lot, I ask how many bottles of water you drank prior to practice. The response is like 1.5. I am like that's not even close. If you not drinking at least 6-8/ day, you not drinking enough. They look at me crazy.

I’m biased, but everyone should agree that Edwardsville is the track capital of Illinois. Since 2012, they have won 3 state titles and placed second 4 times. Yesterday, Edwardville won their conference meet by 45 points, beat IL #3 Belleville East by 52, and beat IL #4 Belleville West by 65 points. Yes, unranked Edwardsville dominated two of the top four teams in Illinois. (Also beat East St. Louis by 93.) Sometimes too much attention goes to the teams that have a couple phenoms, not the best TEAMS. Want to use Edwardsville as a template to improve your program? ⚡️Hire the best staff in the state and keep them together. ⚡️Dominate the technique events: hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, PV, DT, SP (requires a terrific staff). ⚡️Dominate at the F/S level. Edwardsville won JV conference this year by 75 points and has won 10 of the last 11. ⚡️Feature the best uniforms in the state. ⚡️First-class schedule: never attend bad meets and travel when possible. ⚡️Promote during meets on social media (@TrackEHS) Take great pictures. ⚡️Stay up-to-date on All-Time Lists (all levels) and School Records (all levels) ⚡️Try to have the best website in the state (ehstrack.wixsite.com/ehstrack) ⚡️4x1 Priority (past ten seasons, ranked #2 in IL; HF #1, PN #3). Speed is the tide that lifts all boats. ⚡️Dominate in XC (George Patrylak’s teams have won 10 of the last 11 conference titles). FEED THE CATS! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

@pntrack You are being disingenous coach. As a coach you should know better. One class difference is not that much greater when it comes to athletes. If 2-3 classes, you would have more of an argument.

@Rach_IC Is it open though??? Has to be open first in order to "remain" open. Agreeing that they must not and/or will not are two different things. Though I don't remember them building any nuclear weapons over the past 40yrs.

Biden could have never pulled this off. @pntrack Same athletes??? I was trying to give the metro area love. I would give a history of my city and such, though will just keep it about track. Despite many moving out of the city sense I graduated, the city has still produced top-tier athletic programs like track.
