Imagine standing before Christ one day and hearing: "You watched thousands of hours of entertainment. You read and watched endless news. You argued and bickered online. You scrolled for years. But you barely opened the Book I gave you." That thought convicts me. It reminds me to keep returning to Scripture, because no voice matters more than the voice of God speaking through His Word.

The Communists continue this for several more weeks, until one Friday they return to the bar, to find it closed, with a sign out front, stating that the bar is out of business. And that comrades, is how communism works.

A John MacArthur clip is going around right now where he says nothing political or social "has anything to do with the advancement of the kingdom of God." Thousands of Christians are bookmarking it. Reposting it. Treating it like settled doctrine because a famous man said it in a confident voice at a Q&A. Let me show you what your Bible actually says. Joseph of Arimathea used his political standing to retrieve the body of Christ. Without his seat on the Sanhedrin, that body stays on the cross and the burial never happens. That was political standing used for the kingdom. Daniel served in the government of Babylon. He governed as a believer inside a pagan empire, and God used that position to preserve an entire people. Esther used her political position in a foreign court to stop a genocide. She walked into the throne room and risked her life because the kingdom of God was operating through that system. Nehemiah had a political office under a pagan king. He used that office to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Actual stone and mortar. A political act that directly advanced the purposes of God. Moses walked straight into Pharaoh's court. Ten plagues targeted the political and religious systems of Egypt simultaneously. Jesus Himself was executed by a political system. The crucifixion was a Roman political act. And the resurrection was God's answer to it. The idea that the kingdom of God operates in some separate lane from politics and culture is not in your Bible. The entire Old Testament is the story of God working through nations, governments, judges, and kings. And the theology is only half of why that clip matters. The other half is how fast Christians adopted it as their own position without ever opening the text to check. A famous man says something with authority and a clip goes viral. Thousands of believers treat it as settled. I used to stitch my faith together from pieces of other men. A little of this pastor, a little of that podcast, whatever sounded smart that week. Then my kid asked me a question about the Bible and I realized I was quoting everyone except the Book. That's the disease. We have been trained to follow personalities instead of Scripture. Trained to let a man's reputation do the work our own study was supposed to do. You can respect a man and still hold his words up against the text. You should. That's what the Bereans did in Acts 17:11. They heard Paul preach and then searched the scriptures daily to see whether those things were so. The apostle Paul himself, and they still checked him. If the Bereans checked Paul, you can check anyone. Read your Bible.

Pay close attention to the following report published today by Israel’s N12. Documents belonging to Yahya Sinwar, discovered in Gaza, reportedly reveal a plan written in his own hand. The instructions were explicit: seize key junctions, carry out massacres, and send 10,000 fighters into Israel. In the end, approximately 6,000 were reportedly deployed. The document allegedly called for the rape and humiliation of women, and for every Israeli to be subjected to the most extreme abuse possible. The atrocities were to be filmed and distributed in order to encourage Israeli Arabs and Hezbollah to join the assault, while spreading panic and deep fear throughout Israeli society. The instructions reportedly made no distinction between religion, race, or gender. Even Muslims were not to be spared. Sinwar also acknowledged that Israel’s response could potentially be nuclear. He considered a scenario in which hundreds of thousands of Palestinians could be killed, yet proceeded without hesitation. He hoped to break the Israeli people spiritually. Instead, he discovered a nation of lions. Ordinary Israelis rushed toward the Gaza border communities, fought back, rescued civilians, and helped save the country.

Why did you say nothing about it on your own X account for approximately three days, even though you had already given Reuters an interview the next day? What changed between July 9 and July 11? When reports emerged that you allegedly declined requests to meet with former hostages and hostage families during this trip, you responded, “I have met with Israeli hostages.” That does not answer whether you met with any of them during this visit. Which hostages were you referring to? When and where did those meetings occur? Did you meet with any hostages or hostage families during this trip? If not, why didn’t you answer the actual allegation directly? You have publicly said you were detained by armed settlers and the IDF. What specific actions by the IDF constituted your detention? Who physically blocked the road? Did Israeli soldiers order you to remain, or otherwise prevent you from leaving? The IDF disputes that account. Will you release the complete, unedited video so the public can see the sequence for itself? Your delegation reportedly remained at the scene for roughly 90 minutes. How much contemporaneous video and photographic evidence was recorded? Will you release all of it—not selected clips, but the complete record? Who paid for this trip: your congressional office, your campaign, another organization, or someone else? Will you release the travel and funding disclosures so the public can verify the answer? Finally, will you release the contemporaneous text messages, emails, photographs and videos generated by your delegation during those 90 minutes? If your account is accurate, full transparency should only strengthen your credibility. These aren’t partisan questions. They’re the questions any member of Congress should be prepared to answer after making serious public allegations involving a foreign government. Transparency shouldn’t require this many questions.
