@RepDonBacon @OmahaChamber Most of them don’t work in any skilled jobs the majority are receiving government benefits.

Removing TPS status for Haitians living in the United States would cost 350,000 workers their ability to work at a time when we’re already facing serious workforce shortages. I’ve heard from healthcare providers and business leaders across Nebraska, including @OmahaChamber, who are concerned about the impact this would have on patient care and our economy. I don’t see the goodness of deporting people who are here legally, working, and contributing to our country.

@Its_ereko I wonder how many people are trying to emigrate to any African country.

🇹🇬🚨 URGENT: Togo just declared war on the map.
The foreign minister is going to the UN to demand a world map that actually shows Africa's true size. No more Mercator projection. No more colonial cartography that makes Europe look massive and Africa look tiny.
Africa is bigger than China, India, the US, and most of Europe combined. But on your classroom map, it looks like an afterthought. That is not an accident. That is propaganda.
The West will fight this because the map shapes the mind. Make Africa look small, and people treat it as small. Change the map, and you change the story.
Togo just called out the lie. The Global South is rewriting the map. Finally.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

@CBoTheEggman Europe needs to start taking care of it,s own defense. They used to have an economy compatible to that of the US, yet the majority of spending an investment in human resources has been from the US.

Please don’t send me back" — illegal immigrant breaks down as he faces deportation after 20 years in the U.S.
“I been here for 20 years. I work hard. I pay taxes. I never do nothing wrong. Why they do this to me? I love this country. This is my home. My kids… my family… I don’t wanna go back to Mexico. Please… please don’t send me back.”
His wife said:
“I don’t feel safe anymore—for me or for my husband. They’re tearing families apart. This is not the America I know. It’s cruel. It’s inhumane. He’s been here 20 years. He built a life here. And now they’re just gonna rip it all away because of politics.
He’s not a criminal. He’s a good man. He contributes to society. Trump and his supporters don’t care about people like us. They just want to hurt immigrants"

@TonyLaneNV @kittenaround_51 If you point any kind of gun, the officer on the receiving end should shoot to neutralize the threat.

A ROUTINE CALL TURNED DEADLY…
LAPD responded to a robbery in progress at a 7-Eleven in Los Angeles
A 53-year-old woman allegedly refused to comply and pointed what officers believed was a firearm
In seconds… shots were fired
It was later confirmed the weapon was a pellet gun
She died at the scene
Moments like this move fast - and there’s no rewind
Was this justified, or could it have been handled differently? What’s your take? ⬇️ 🇺🇸

@jasonrantz You should self deport if you are stupid enough to listen to a liberal politician and believe her.

NEW: I need you to sit with me for a moment, because what I witnessed Saturday morning at JFK airport in New York has shaken me to my very core. I am not okay. I may never be okay again. seattlered.com/seattle-red/ja…
