ALERT: There has been sizable withdrawals on Kamino's Prime market (~$20m) which represents about 10% of the USDC supply. This has caused yields to spike on Prime, but also subsequently on other markets (as curators look to rebalance). If you're looping $PRIME, you're now at 4.59% at max lev. which means you're better off holding $PRIME alone (7.5%). Not in negative territory yet, but please keep an eye out. The market is very choppy due to the US/Iran conflicting messages.

- $FLUID $10M+ bad debt on Ethereum Same team is behind @jup_lend on Solana Different chain, but hope not same risk philosophy? Asking for my deposits 👀
DefiMoon 🦇🔊@DefiMoon

Two years ago many experienced people in DeFi tried to warn @0xfluid devs and cheerleaders that their protocol is super-risky, especially at any kind of scale, but they just wouldn't listen. Now they will be selling $fluid tokens at discount to cover $10m+ of "minor" bad debt.🤡 RIP $FLUID 🌊📉 $RLP $USR

BONK.fun
BONK.fun@bonkfun·
BONKfun is back and here’s what happened 👇 On March 11, the BONKfun website was hijacked by a malicious actor via a social engineering targeting our domain service provider. This resulted in the domain being transferred to an external registrar. The domain service provider has accepted responsibility for transfer, and we have confirmed this incident was not the result of any compromise of BONK or BONKfun internal systems, codebase, or team accounts. Upon identifying the breach, we immediately took action to: 1) Disable the site 2) Coordinate with wallet providers to flag the domain as malicious 3) Contain further user impact We’d like to thank @phantom, @solflare, @MetaMask, @_SEAL_Org and all other security partners that helped spread the word quickly. We estimate the total customer losses at $30,000 and we will be reimbursing affected users at 110% of losses to account for opportunity cost. As a result of this social engineering on the domain service provider, the BONKfun domain was transferred to an external registrar, and that transfer greatly inhibited our ability to move quickly with relaunching the site in a secure manner. The domain and domain registration were fully transferred back around 5:00 pm Eastern time on 3/18. Full functionality with major wallet providers was restored late on 3/19, which has now enabled us to safely and securely relaunch the site. The main BONKfun domain is still experiencing flags from several antivirus software providers, we are working to remove these flags as soon as possible. For users experiencing issues with BONK.fun due to anti-virus software, letsBONK.fun is also live now and contains the same functionality as the main site.

Love how some influencers shilling @tatsu_nyc “cus they love the art” but they didn’t shill it when it was 0.04 floor. So the art really does look appealing to them when fp is high. (PS: @Tma_420 is a real one and actually posts even when floor is shit) How much influence does floor price has over “art” and attractiveness for you?

$ONyc incentives are being extended. If you got in early, congratulations; you farmed the best of it. Together with @onrefinance, we’re keeping the incentives program running to continue delivering strong yield on this vault. So if you’re not in yet, you’re not too late. That said, this won’t run forever. Demand has also been strong enough that we’re raising capacity from 3.0M to 4.0M. We were already sitting at 2.9M filled. FCFS! 🔥

Serious people doing serious diligence overwhelmingly don't pick Solana. They never did. Too much centralization and crime. Not enough TPS. GENIUS changed everything. Age of seriousness. Mute/block all of Solana. I did a few months ago. Solana is simply not important anymore.

i don’t love getting into these topics much, but imo one of the best things the solana foundation has done is stay on the sidelines as much as possible. if you look at other ecosystems, like ethereum, it’s easy to see how things can get messy when a foundation ends up holding too much mindshare. to me, the direction should be to continue stepping back over time, not becoming more central or more directly involved in building products. there’s also a practical angle here. the downside risk of the foundation trying to build things directly vs. its ability to actually deliver doesn’t really justify itself. the incentives aren’t the same as in a startup environment, which can make execution slower and introduce more politics, perceived favoritism, or “king-making” dynamics in the ecosystem. overall, i think the foundation is most effective when it’s largely invisible and focused on enabling the ecosystem rather than participating in it directly.

No way, kiddo! The EF can't stop you—they're just the helpers keeping the playground safe and open. Want a different game? Build your own swings, invent new rules, or team up with friends to make a whole new playground next door (that's called a fork). No bosses, no permission slips. It's yours to play however! What game ya got in mind?

After today's unfavourable $50M swap on our interface, there's a lot of confusion around slippage I'd like to clarify: Slippage is the tolerance buffer on a market order: how much the final fill price can deviate from the quoted price due to market movement between signing and execution. On the Aave interface, suggested slippage is algorithmically calculated from asset pair volatility and order size. Since we offer both market orders (with adjustable slippage) and limit orders, our slippage and fee estimates are tuned for execution time. Users can always tighten it (or set limit amounts) and will typically get a surplus back thanks to @CoWSwap's auction mechanism. In this case, the user sent a market order with the suggested 1.21% slippage. But the core issue wasn't slippage, it was just the accepted quote with 99% price impact: As you can confirm it yourself on the CoW explorer, the order includes a quote field showing the original rate (50M USDT -> <140 AAVE) presented to the user before fees and slippage. It was already a very bad rate. All the interactions were also verified via internal analytics, and the user even received a 0.7% surplus, confirming the swap mechanics worked exactly as intended. Thanks to our open-source nature, anyone can reproduce this. So, the price impact warning was displayed. The checkbox was checked, sadly. While we're working on stronger guardrails for all our users, we'll always believe in permissionless DeFi.
Stani.eth@StaniKulechov

Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface. Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return. The transaction could not be moved forward without the user explicitly accepting the risk through the confirmation checkbox. The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices. However, while the user was able to proceed with the swap, the final outcome was clearly far from optimal. Events like this do occur in DeFi, but the scale of this transaction was significantly larger than what is typically seen in the space. We sympathize with the user and will try to make a contact with the user and we will return $600K in fees collected from the transaction. The key takeaway is that while DeFi should remain open and permissionless, allowing users to perform transactions freely, there are additional guardrails the industry can build to better protect users. Our team will be investigating ways to improve these safeguards going forward.
