Most people outside Poland have never heard of Oshee. But try buying a Gatorade or Powerade in Warsaw. Good luck. Both brands failed because domestic isotonic brands like Oshee ate their lunch. MidEuropa just agreed to buy Innova Capital's minority stake in the company. 750M PLN in revenue (~$200M), EBITDA up 5x in seven years, and now gearing up for Western European expansion. This is what founder-led businesses in Poland look like when they get it right. Two former FoodCare employees launched Oshee in 2008, took minority PE capital in 2018, tripled revenue, and kept control the entire time. The founders still sit on the board. MidEuropa is again buying a minority stake, not a buyout. That's rare anywhere. In CEE it's a signal: the ecosystem is maturing. Founders aren't flipping companies to the first institutional check. They're choosing partners strategically, retaining control, and using PE capital as fuel for international growth.
