Remember when collecting was just… collecting? When we bought something because we loved it, full stop. That's the part worth protecting. Collecting has evolved a lot over the years. Utility, roadmaps, new models - the space explored all of it, and we learned plenty along the way. Some projects found their lane and built something lasting - huge respect to them. & maybe now is a good moment to reconnect with what started it all: the simple joy of collecting something you love. @SolanaMBS pulled me in through my love for Paul Frank from young. 5,000 Monkes, up to 5 attributes each (rarest being the 0 atts & 5 atts), matched with 50+ possible attributes. 5 common skin types & topped off with the tiered rarity of Zombie, Alien, Skeleton, and Solana skin. A collection with plenty of variation. Whatever your vibe, whatever you identify with, odds are there's a Monke in there for you. As the larger @MonkeDAO formed around the collectors of SMBs, we later also witnessed the rise of sub-communities spinning off like @BanditoDAO, where individuals came together through a simple shared love and affiliation for specific attributes. That childlike joy of collecting - a simple, shared love - is what brought us together as a community. Thousands of miles apart, across borders and time zones - the love for collecting is what closes the distance. That, by itself, is priceless. It's time to return to our roots - collecting the things we love, united by that love for collecting. & maybe, just maybe, Return to Monke.
