Absolutely awesome and why our county loves kids that take this pathway. Whether you decide if a 2 year, 4 year college track is for you great. Some kids choose the ROTC and military track. Bottom line, no one path is for everyone and I strongly encourage more schools to consider a CTE program(Career, Technical, Education). We have students that are certified in heavy equipment and have paid internships and as soon as they graduate from high school are making $90-100K and no student loan debt.

@wolfhatfacts That is so sadly true! personally, I've seen the strongest guys I know break down & all I could do was try to comfort them (I couldn't, not really). But I NEVER, EVER held or used that against them.

Actual Call: A girlfriend found her boyfriend in a motel with someone else after logging in to his Facebook account & seeing his messages. The hotel called 911 because she was beating on the door yelling for him to come out. When I arrived the GF said the BF was cheating on her & had stole over $800 from her by hacking into & transferring money from her Spark account (Walmart Delivery) to his own bank account & that he also stole her EBT card. She said she wanted him arrested. I spoke to the BF who said they deliver Spark together but denied taking her money or stealing the EBT card. He turned over the EBT card & said he only had it because she gives it to him to buy groceries for them on occasion because she is his "baby mama". The hotel wanted the GF to leave immediately & wanted her banned from the property. You be the officer & work this call. What are you doing?👮‍♂️🚔

I just finished my taxes and wrote a check to the federal government. It doesn't sit right... We've seen BILLIONS in fraud in just the last few months. Don't you feel like we ALL deserve a break from paying taxes until 100% of the money stolen from us in fraud is clawed back?

Security isn't a joke, which is why I take it incredibly seriously when people misuse the ticketing portal. A marketing manager submitted a hardware replacement request under the 'Network Outage' category just to get faster routing. I immediately disabled her VPN, locked her Active Directory account, and wiped her mobile device via MDM. When she sprinted down to my desk demanding to know why she was locked out of everything, I calmly explained that her account was clearly compromised. A real employee would know the difference between a broken mouse and a downed server, so I had to assume she was a hostile threat actor. She spent the next 4 hours doing compliance training to earn her access back.

This is how things started in California and then before you know it, it’s a quarter or even more. But affordability 🚨Today - the governor signed about 250 bills into law. In a promise to make Virginia more affordable - a nickel per plastic bag tax will be imposed at the local level. A nickel here, a nickel there.. what's the big deal right? Well - it will generate likely $60 million a year in taxes statewide. On top of the income tax you pay. On top of the car tax you pay. On top of the real estate tax you pay. On top of the sales tax you pay. On top of the gas tax you pay. On top of the taxes on your cell phone you pay, and of course after you pay the tolls to drive on the roads. $60 million more tapped out of Virginians pockets.. one nickel at a time. So next time you go to the grocery store, and you buy your ketchup in a plastic container, your milk in a plastic container, the soda in a plastic container, the bags of rice in plastic, the cheese in plastic, the bacon in plastic.. When they put all that plastic in a plastic bag - you will pay $.05 a bag more.. Because.. "it’s about the environment"....

When I early voted on the Virginia redistricting referendum today, I searched the ballot for "Oh, hell NO!" but all it had was "Yes" and No." Disappointed, I had to settle for voting a simple, "No." 🙄

Today’s ticket: "URGENT – Laptop won’t turn on after vacation. Critical." I ask the usual questions. Nothing. So I walk over. Laptop is closed. On a docking station. Docking station isn’t plugged into power. I press the laptop power button. It turns on. User: "No, no, you don’t get it. I tried that. It didn’t do anything." I check the logs. Last boot: 47 days ago. Battery level on startup: 1%. Me: "When you pressed the button, did anything appear on the screen?" "Yeah, a low battery symbol, then it died. That’s why it’s broken." I plug in the dock. Laptop charges, boots normally. "So… what did you do?" "Radical fix: electricity." I close the ticket as "Resolved – Educated user on existence of power."
