More from the Press Release: Somalia Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) exists at the federal level, its current operational capacity remains insufficient to independently manage a crisis of this magnitude. In addition, SoDMA’s support has not been fair or proportionate to our State. Despite assistance allocations being guided by assessed needs, South West State received only a minimal and inadequate share, which does not reflect the scale and severity of its humanitarian challenges.

Delighted to participate in a mission led by the Southwest State Health Minister, H.E. Said Ahmed Ali to Wanlewein District to assess the current healthcare provision on site. The district has been significantly impacted by USAID funding cuts, a few HFs served, but hope remains.
