@joshk to be fair there are a number of public names where you have to pay a meme stock live-auction premium over company fundamentals

Today’s valuations (for private companies) reflect the combination of: 1) the underlying value of the company, and 2) the value of the auction premium an investor needs to pay to win the allocation. (Unlike for public companies, where the need to outbid other to get allocation does not exist) I would argue that in this AI cycle, we are currently seeing a very large step up in #1, and an even larger step up in #2.
