There is only one way for the Governor to remain relevant and gain name recognition before he inevitably throws his hat into the ring in 28. What better way is there to do that than to enter the Attorney General's Office and take what has been a dormant cabinet position so far and turn it into the monster that the Democrat Party should rightfully fear. If you want to win the game you have to play, and that doesn't mean participating in proxy elections in Florida.

I am going to very strongly disagree with some of my friends and say that Ron DeSantis should not be the next attorney general. Recall what he said about the Stormy Daniels case, his weak objections to the lawfare against the president including raid of Mar-a-Lago, and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, his refusal to defend/protect his own constituents being tormented by the Biden FBI/DOJ in the J6 persecution. Florida had the greatest number of J6ers and DeSantis did nothing to help defend them. (And spare me the "he couldn't do anything, they were federal cases.) He refused to even meet with J6ers and their families. A big no from me.

Say what you want about DeSantis if you're still butthurt over the primary. He's one of the few elected leaders who can speak eloquently on our founding philosophical documents like the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers.

What the proper historiography should be is not necessarily what the Founders believed. Caesar was an epithet to the Founders. The best Anti-Federalist essays were written under the pseudonym Brutus.
