@Weather_West @tphlair @Xfinity FYI I had that issue with a poor corroded connection at the pole where my line connected to the main line. Fortunately, my tech knew right where to look when he saw my internet speed.

@tphlair @Xfinity It's a brand new cat 6e cable (literally opened package an hour ago). It's possible @Xfinity's terrible hardware is defaulting to an old protocol, but it is their newest offering and we cannot get service here to work if we don't use their bundled gateway (I have tried).

Seeking further advice: after testing my internet connection using a 50ft cat6 ethernet cable, I have discovered that the hardwired connection from @Xfinity is *even worse* than a wifi connection on the same network. I am no network engineer, but this is very confusing. Help??

For those who have been asking: I genuinely appreciate advice & support from folks regarding ongoing tech issues while livestreaming. Next step: running second internet line from different (fiber-based) ISP to see if old/unstable cable infrastructure in neighborhood is culprit.

A water tinder from Sonoma Valley Fire is trying to cool down parts of the #GlassIncident #GlassFire on the east side of Silverado Trail just north of Glass Mountain Rd. They’re using hand tools & water to keep the fire low to prevent it from throwing embers and spotting. @KPIXtv

BRAVERY - I had the honor of meeting with the crew members of SugarPine Crew 6 and two of their @CAL_FIRE Fire Captains. Their bus burned, then the house they sheltered in burned. They survived by following their training, their orders and using their fire shelters. #NorthComplex
