Yeah costs to get up and move via time, asking for help (paying in some way) or hiring, boxes, fuel, etc plus upfront cost of buying or renting.
The blanket statement is not helpful bc most ppl when they have this happen, look at moving cheaper but reality is they find similar rent they can’t afford as there only options so now they have to stay and find a way to cover the new rent.
It’s a bullshit blanket statement is why so many people resonated with it. Ofc there’s always an option.
I have a family and 3 pets so luckily I own a home but we couldn’t rent for less than $2500 in Ohio on the market bc of pets, kid, space needed, etc.
