You make $100k but give $20k to the government, now you have $80k to spend That $20k is called a tax..cool everybody gets that You make $100k but everything in the economy goes up 20% now you only have $80k worth of purchasing power that’s called inflation which is also a tax Now combine them since that’s how it works in the real world You make $100k give the government $20k which leaves you with $80k to spend but everything in economy also went up 20% So just like that you’re $100k is cut nearly in half People will get tired of this.. they’ll find something/ a system that is a solution to the inflation Bitcoin

Biggest "the kids are fucked" moment I've had recently was buying a car Walked into the dealership, told them what I wanted and said I'd pay up-front. Expected them to be thrilled Instead they were horrified. Spent the next 20 minutes trying to get me to finance it at some absurd rate Got me curious so after I left I read about car sale profit models. Apparently most US dealerships make more financing now than from the cars themselves I was such a boomer I assumed they'd want CASH In reality they want your ETERNAL SLAVERY at 19% APR

My daughter nearly died after a vaccine reaction when she was just four months old. We had to rush her to the ER for emergency surgery. No immediate answers as to how this happened, or if it could have been prevented. Just dismissiveness, finger pointing and “this just happens sometimes”. They lied. It wasn’t until months later, a doctor quietly admitted it was from a vaccine. This moment confirmed to me that the system didn’t care about the people. It changed how I interpret the “expert opinions”. It awoke a passion to fight the power of the centralized corruption that not only allows this level of evil, but enables it. We need to question everything, to stop outsourcing trust, and start seeking truth to make our own decisions. If they’ll lie about harming babies, what else will they lie about?

I love building @Strike through moments of criticism and feedback. We're not afraid of scrutiny and we face every question head-on to improve. Unfortunately, some take advantage of FUD windows not to seek truth, but to promote themselves.

We just updated our #Bitcoin-backed loan agreement to make it crystal clear: Your #Bitcoin is never rehypothecated on @Strike. Never has been, never will be.

Just incase anyone needs to hear this: If you take out a loan, the terms are the legal contract you signed with your counterparty. It is _not_ what some dope says onstage at a Bitcoin conference. If the terms say: "You agree and acknowledge that Lender may, at its sole discretion and without notice to you, re-hypothecate, pledge, assign, or otherwise transfer all or any part of the Bitcoin Collateral to any third party, for any purpose, during the term of this Agreement." Then the loan you signed allows for the lender to fully rehypothecate your collateral--without limitation or notification.

Pledditor, I respect who you are to Bitcoin. Although I've taken plenty of hits from your posts, I think it's valuable and hilarious. However, calling me a liar crosses the line. I did not lie. It is a legal nuance/echnicality, not a deception. I appreciate the feedback and I’ll work with our legal team to clarify the language in our terms so there's no confusion going forward. We are also exploring a proof-of-reserves version of the product. x.com/jackmallers/st…

I asked SEC Commissioner @HesterPeirce if she’d consider in-kind redemptions for the spot bitcoin ETFs for retail investors, and, after some back and forth, she said she’d think about it. Can’t explain how good it feels to speak with a regulator who’s actually listening.

This is a legal nuance but definitely worth clearing up. Strike partners with capital providers like @NYDIG. In some cases, the bitcoin collateral is technically transferred to them, what lawyers call "rehypothecation" (technically), but none of our partners re-use, re-lend, or anything remotely close to rehypothecate bitcoin. The bitcoin is securely held and explicitly sits in segregated wallets or accounts. That's why I say the capital stays with us and/or our partners. If we didn't include that technical language, we'd be exposed to legal risk even though the bitcoin remains untouched. Appreciate the feedback. I'll work to update our agreements to say this more clearly. We're also building cryptographic proof-of-reserves so no one has to just take our word for it

@chrissssjohnson The role of central banks is to steal from the middle class via inflation, in order to pump assets of the wealthy who are closest to the money printer, the cantillion effect. The diminishing value of the US Dollar is by design since 1913. 1 #bitcoin = 1 #bitcoin

1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin but if you happened to want to sell that bitcoin for dollars you'll get a lot of those dollars because they ain't worth much... $72,000 of them to be exact... 9 years ago you would've only got $210 but now it's $72,000 because the dollar keeps falling..

@chrissssjohnson Serious question. If 1 BTC is worth $72k, then if the dollar is worthless, what will 1 BTC be worth?

I did it. I bought $25 worth of Bitcoin. No it’s not much, but I’m going to do like I said and regularly buy a small amount. I will continue to do research into the subject as I buy and hold more along with my other investments. Thank you for all the new and old followers for all the advice!
