@cirnosad rejoice that one day they will face their biological wall but this insanity is reaching a point at which they should be facing a different type of wall
@cirnosad@grok@lazyracoon20 What a <redacted>, take Valve when they got started for instance, all "devs" were actual software engineers with deep knowledge of OS development.
Gabe Newell could only start Valve because he earned fat stacks when working on early versions of Windows.
@cirnosad Always wondered how Enstein was such a genius if there's barely any refs to him in university physics and maths. Seems like he did fuck all thru his career and one day just randomly conjures up the idea of mass-energy equivalence. Meanwhile Poincare invents an entire math branch
You shouldn't ever try to brute force "read" a textbook. You read sections, do some experimenting, go back. It's reference material. It's not a regular book. Trying to read the whole thing is a waste of time and you'll forget it all.
@tawnniee SWE has as much math as any other type of engineering
but many believe that coders are software engineers so that's where the confusion comes from
>software isn't engineering
meanwhile u use protocols and operating systems designed by engineers that are 50 years old and laid the foundation of the modern internet
>software isn't engineering
ur just an idiot
but it is a good question. i thought maybe no guests but ledger has missed 3 yrs of crypto so nothing to talk about without guests lol
* jeff + shoku
* prediction mkts
* light if he will do it again
* maybe arthur hayes, never came on before
* maybe some recent founders of ok stuff
* errrrr who else fk
@CallerTrade2284@bramk@themarketsniper governments in some countries can't even operate a website and you think they can completely firewall off a distributed network the size of btc, just use wireguard tard
@bramk@themarketsniper@maxkeiser I'm a 20 year IT security specialist. I'm 100% correct. If the government wanted to, your internet money could be gone tomorrow.
Utter Rubbish! From @maxkeiser again.
Digital Money is far more easily disabled specifically [wallet lock/Hack/back door'ed] and generally [Power/Internet/Mobile network/outage/DDoS/Liquidity Panic disabled].
Where is everyone's XAU & XAG?
[If you said Bank vault you are a fool]. Now try confiscate.
@cirnosad so polynomial, then if a conventional explosion did this, by scaling things down, I should be able to explode the windows of my room by lighting a bucket of firecrackers (mini ammo depot) inside of it. 😂😂😂
@cirnosad 50MT Tsar Bomba blew windows 900km away, so I guess there is an exponential factor in how the shockwave decreases during travel thru air.
Crazy, these weapons create a mini sun which persists for seconds even minutes.
By contrast, conventional weapons are just big firecrackers.
@cirnosad big boom -> ammo depot
big boom causes unusual radionuclide readings -> ammo depot with depleted uranium
big boom heard kilometers away, lighting up the night sky -> very big ammo depot
@izebel_eth better to just use spot as collateral for inverse perps
it achieves account wipeout quicker thus yielding significant time savings (the result is the same regardless)
@krugermacro they're automated executions with the purpose of closing out positions when losses exceed posted collateral or reducing size if the matching engine considers that there insufficient liquidity to pay out a winning position if price were to continue moving favorably (ADL)
Important: liquidations are not losses.
People did not lose $20 billion last Friday.
With a realistic average leverage of ~15x for the liquidated positions, total trader losses from the $20B in liquidations would be around $1.3 billion.
(less than that if you take into account that some of the liquidations were ADLed shorts in profit rather than longs)
This represents the wiped-out margins, which fueled the market's cascading sell-off.
@duganist because of this, the oi unwind was crazy on this one
this past year it has traded very differently compared to the rest of it's history, looks a bit like an fx chart to me
still it's probably months away from a real breakout and trend
@tawnniee this is probably fake tho, but
orca lifespan in the wild 50-90 years
orca lifespan in captivity ~15 years
sad because they're more intelligent than a large % of humanoids
idk what's real anymore
but assuming it is
how depressing that this animal is literally in a cage, desperate for attention, as everyone just walks by it, while it pulls out all the stops just to feel noticed
