Francesco Ielpo, were prevented from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for prayers amid the ongoing security situation. I clarified that the incident stemmed from security concerns due to the continuous threat of missile attacks from the Iranian terror regime against the civilian population in Israel, following previous incidents in which Iranian missiles fell in the area of the Old City of Jerusalem in recent days. I reaffirmed the State of Israel's unwavering commitment to freedom of religion for all faiths and to upholding the status quo at the holy sites of Jerusalem.

A state isn’t a reward, it’s a political reality. You don’t grant or deny it based on whether you approve of every action or faction. States emerge from negotiations, power balances, and the need to stabilize conflicts, not as prizes for good behaviour. If anything, the argument for a state has always been about containing and resolving the conflict, not endorsing everything done within it.

BREAKING: Armed attack on the Christian city of Suqaylabiyah in Hama, Syria. HTS-aligned residents of Qalaat al-Madiq were seen attacking properties belonging to the Christian population in Suqaylabiyah. They also targeted a statue of the Virgin Mary in the city. The attack involved rioting and vandalism targeting several shops, as well as assaults on civilians.
