The resignations of Tim Davie and Deborah Turness must be a chance for the BBC to turn a new leaf, rebuild trust and not give in to those like Nigel Farage who want to destroy it. We must stand up for a strong, independent BBC, to stop Trump’s America becoming Farage's Britain.

@JWendleken91807 They should but in the case of the post office the investigators were clearly not well trained, corrupted by financial gain that led to a catastrophic miscarriage of justice.

@JWendleken91807 Agreed, but there have been plenty of overturned convictions because the system has failed in some way.

@JWendleken91807 It's not that simple. First the investigators need to treat the investigation objectively, follow all lines of enquiry and give the cps the full facts. Not all criminal prosecutions are dealt with by the cps. Look at the post office for example.

@drlukeevans Civil servants do not like courts because it is a place where they lose their power of control.

@BBCNews Absolutely shameful and big questions for the Government and council to answer. Where do they get the money from to open these shops and why are councils issuing licenses for these shops to trade, but why aren’t these people being dealt with in the courts ?

@DVSAgovuk Great instructions! I can see now why the b+e test was scrapped when all you need is this advice.

Reversing while towing a caravan can be a daunting experience. ✅ Make sure you have a clear view of the caravan, and the bay you are reversing in to. If you’ve got plenty of room, ease the steering into the turn. If you’ve not got much room, begin reversing with a full lock.

I want to do my Category D (Bus) driving licence before November. You wouldn't believe how painful it is to just get someone with a training bus to supply you with a couple of days for some training and a test booking. And you wonder why there are no bus drivers?

@DVSAgovuk Is it me, or do you see more car and trailers speeding in the third lane of the motorway? Could this be down to the mindless scrapping of the b+e test?

When towing a caravan or trailer, speed limits can be different from the one stated on road signs: 3️⃣0️⃣ in built up areas England and Scotland 2️⃣0️⃣ in built up areas in Wales 5️⃣0️⃣ on single carriageways 6️⃣0️⃣ on dual carriageways #safedriving

@MailOnline The CCP's unjust sentences and ill-treatment of innocent citizens continue to expose their inhumanity and disregard for basic human rights. These heart-wrenching stories of suffering and mistreatment must be condemned. CCP≠Chinese! CCP≠China!

@Motor_Transport The data looks fairly old. Is this a true reflection of the industry views today?

Increased demand for online deliveries and a lack of new drivers joining the industry has created a tipping point, with not enough qualified drivers available to cope with current haulage demands 🔗 ow.ly/N6aY50Q2yV7 #motortransport

@NjjNeal @NormanBrennan @BBCRadioLondon OK, so if a white guy complains that he was searched without good reason. An independent investigation takes place that finds the officers have been dishonest in their statements, and they were sacked. Would you still have the same view that it was all political?

Folks I did I/V this morning on @BBCRadioLondon with Eddie Lester as to Why I was supporting the MET TSG Appeal & Why I believed they were sacked; it got a bit heated; he read me a Statement from the MET Commissioner who apparently said “Those donating to the appeal are confused” Well folks I’m pretty switched on & I know the full details of the Incident in Q & why I believe the two MET TSG Officers were sacked & you can be assured I KNOW the reason why I supported the Just Giving Appeal & I am certainly NOT>CONFUSED; To those of YOU? Who also supported the Just Giving Appeal were? YOU CONFUSED as to why YOU were supporting & donating to the appeal? You can answer in a bit of detail or just post YES or NO? I’d be interested in your answers/comments! Thanks👍

@NjjNeal @NormanBrennan @BBCRadioLondon You are clouding the issue by bringing race into the argument. It is clear that all ofgicers erre cleared of any racial bias. They got sacked for making dishonest statements that could later be used in a court of law later in proceedings. This is the issue we can not tolerate

@NormanBrennan @BBCRadioLondon The confusion comes when the race of the individuals involved, including the officer's is clearly clouding peoples judgement. The facts are the officers were sacked by an independent panel who saw enough evidence to convince them that the officers lied. That is the sole reason.
