@RedmondWaPD Not sure how the conclusion “no indication there is any danger to the public” is made when an armed man shot a person is still at large after 12 hours. Ditto to the reply above, please share more information including photos so we can all pay attention.

UPDATE: Police are continuing to search for one male suspect involved in a shooting that occurred around 9:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, in the 8600 block of Avondale Rd. NE. Officers arrived on the scene and located a 50 year-old-male who suffered gunshot wounds. 1/2

@RedmondWaPD Will you publish a photo of the suspect being sought? That way, if someone identifies the suspect (or sees someone who bears a very strong resemblance) then they can call you or text you for follow up. … it’s been 12 hrs, not a low-key “manhunt” - why not??

UPDATE: 8:00 a.m. Redmond detectives are investigating last night’s shooting and have identified the suspect. The altercation was between the suspect and victim who knew each other. There is no indication there is any danger to the public.

@sama There is an opportunity "network effect". A trustworthy participant who takes good chances at exceptional outcomes that do not take forever to resolve has a much higher probability of success.

“give yourself a lot of shots to get lucky” is even better advice than it appears on the surface. luck isn’t an independent variable but increases super-linearly with more surface area—you meet more people, make more connections between new ideas, learn patterns, etc.
