@34Dalton97 @MoEgger Fair to question the org across the board, no doubt. But Hinds was performing very poorly when he had the opportunity. The Reds are trying to win now (I think). Not everyone is always going to get an equal shot to overcome a bad start.

@RoundBallsDeep @BadSportsRefs But if an optimal outcome occurs every blue moon it probably means there are no rigs in the first place. Just occasionally they get the most desirable outcome. I mean the NBA Finals have only gone 7 games 3 times in the last 16 years.

@ed_kleese @BadSportsRefs They don't have magnets in the rims; just bc they want an outcome doesn't always make it happen. Good teams can beat the rigs. The point is: there shouldn't be any rigs, that behavior should be thrown out of the league.

@RoundBallsDeep @BadSportsRefs The NBA has very very rarely gotten the optimal viewing result over the years. Especially the last 25 years or so. A great example would be 2009 when they were one series away from LeBron v Kobe Finals instead wound up with Magic. If they rig outcomes, they are HORRIBLE at it

@ed_kleese @BadSportsRefs Huh? I don't understand that. How would a person know what the league is going to rig for until the game starts being called? And even then, refs can just wait until 2nd half to work their magic. Unless you know one of them, and then you have the Donaghy situation.

@Jshoua_Episozna @JahlilWill So much cherry picking. Wemby does this ALL the time. He tackled check on the rebound attempt at end of reg game 1. And yes, Hart and others are being very physical with him off the ball with clutching and grabbing. SGA double-hand checked. Its playoffs

That game was a perfect illustration of why so many fan bases don't like OKC. Flopping, dirty play, ridiculous whistle. Those weren't the only reasons they won. But they played a significant role, and we all saw it.

@RoundBallsDeep @BadSportsRefs So just to be clear: you will wait until the results are in to then decide if it was properly rigged or not? Seems like you could make yourself some serious cash if you just told everyone prior.

@OUROBBYG1988 @GabeIkard My favorite was when the NBA scripted the Spurs and Nets finals for every game to end 81-72. Or when they rigged the lottery for Atlanta to get Risacher. I also thought it was cool when they rigged LeBron’s first Finals so that they’d get swept and lose every game by 10+

@GabeIkard The NBA always puts a thumb on the scale. Not as scripted as WWE but close. NFL today similar. The Lottery was created to get The Knicks Ewing. 2016 the greatest team in a generation loses 3 straight to get LeBron his first Championship. Kyree hit the game winner by the way.

@HPbasketball And it’s actually all true. Ihart constantly fouled Wemby off the ball; Castle literally fouls SGA on every drive— literally all of them. It’s the playoffs. It’s always been like this. Spurs have shot more FTs in series and Thunder have been called for more fouls.

I think the problem is that to a lot of people, CERTAINLY NOT ME, I HAVE NO OPINION, there IS a double standard, and the fact that OKC fans can't really see that or acknowledge it causes friction. If anything, they feel they're the VICTIMS. I've seen just as much complaining about Castle holding shai
Carson Breber@Carsobi

People choosing to focus on officiating instead of that incredible basketball game have OKC-induced madness. Wemby is getting held like crazy. Shai is getting held like crazy. This is playoff basketball. It's physical, especially off-ball, and you play through it. That's it.

And OKC and their fans wonder why the rest of the league doesn’t like them. It’s cause they are always getting away with fouls the rest of the teams in the league would get called for.

@Sheridanblog @buchsbaum_86677 The amount of people on this app who don’t know NBA history is astonishing. If you think the Thunder invented physical defense (especially off the ball) you probably started watching the NBA last week. Happy to provide about 40 years of examples if you like

@buchsbaum_86677 Warriors were hated for being too good, OKC is hated because they literally cheat the game on both sides of the ball - no one wants to watch a bunch of cheaters being aided by cheating refs

@cguzzle @MRSOONER75 Clutching, grabbing, fighting in the post and forcing refs to call it or not off the ball is literally as old as the NBA. Anyone who thinks OKC invented this is either 7 years old or doesn’t know their NBA history at all…

@Bobbarker951 @ianmSC Monday’s Spurs-Thunder NBA WCF Game 1 averaged a combined 9.16 million viewers on NBC across Nielsen (6.91M) and a streaming audience measured by Adobe Analytics (2.25M), officially marking the largest audience on record for a Game 1 of the West Finals.

@ed_kleese @ianmSC Yeah dude, nobody hated harden when he was baiting and sga/okc is totally as lovable as steph/warriors in the 2010s. Fucking please bro. Weird, what happened in 16 to 18?

@Bobbarker951 @ianmSC Even though there is zero statistical evidence to back this up? OKC was 17th in the league in FTs this year and so far in playoffs rank 14 out of 16 teams in FTA per game. So far in this series OKC has been whistled for 7 more fouls than SA.

@ianmSC Nba sucks now that the warriors are aging out and so is LeBron. Sga is disliked as much if not more than harden was when he was doing this shit. Unfortunately because sga gets these trash calls, everyone on OKc is doing it. Bad for the game.

@Hoopss @BallTalkO Not a single word about Spurs guards (namely Castle) literally double-hand checking SGA on every drive as well as often arm barring. Shai is getting fouled close to 100% of his drives. Sometimes he gets the call, sometimes not. That’s playoff basketball. Goes both ways

It’s insane that Hartenstein is allowed to maul and grab Wemby on nearly every possession for 48 minutes, and even got away with pulling Stephon Castle’s hair. 😳 Note: The Spurs also lost both of their challenges before halftime because of bad calls.
